  1. its typical double-standard Lib c**p.

Libs like Hillary can belittle mothers because she is a successful working mother.  but if Mrs. McCain said it, its SEXISM!!!!

she can play the racism card.  she gets into the whole Harriet Tubman example, playing on the slavery card.  but if McCain went that route, its RACISM!!!

just like Michelle the nite before could tell a wonderful story of working hard, to make her own name, and then say "The gov. needs to prop the rest of you up".  Its hypocrisy, and a double standard.

the Democrat party preys on the weakness of Americans.  THey get away with everything, because they control the media.  and he who controlled the media, controls the universe.

  2. Some will, some won't.  The lady has a political tin ear.

  3. Since the majority of mothers work outside the home to help support their families, I don't think they will feel insulted by her remarks. But Hillary is fast approaching retirement age, so perhaps now would be a good time for her to begin collecting cookie recipes...

  4. Nothing wrong with this statement. She described HER choice.

Do not try to see more than there really is. That is a republican way , who only looking for how to twist the truth and make it a big lie.

  5. Because most women, working-class women, have to go to work--kids or no kids.

Her comment was a swipe at both wealthy housewives who serve no useful purpose to society except to breed more of their morally degenerate, chronically ignored, socially inept bourgoise children and also "welfare moms" who sit at home and wallow in their poverty, despair and lack of ambition.

Why are you insulted? Do you fall into one of those two categories?

    EDIT:

Like I said, the vast majority of working class women have to work. Kids or no kids. The "choice" to be a stay-at-home-mom, when viewed in stark economic terms isn't really a choice at all for the VAST majority of women.

I am not describing the American society as "elitists" would have it. I am describing the American society as it is.

  6. But it was ok. During the Monica thing, she came out to the reporters with some freshly baked cookies about 6 years after she said that. That was the election year where Family Values was the big issue.

  7. I LOVE sitting home and baking cookies for my kids.

    She doesn't.... her choice.

I would hate to have her job.

    So we are even.

  8. Seems like her cookie jar wasn't good enough for ole Bill, eh?

  9. What a S****y thing to say! And her supporters are all up in arms about sexism....Maybe if more women stayed home and baked cookies, we'd have less social problems. I know Hillary thinks more money can fix this country's problems - but parents who actually parent and spend quality time with their children could do wonders! What a b!atch.

  10. She said this in 1992, and some housewives were insulted, but then they got jobs and all was forgiven.

  11. who cares.I dont want to be a house wife either

  12. How is that an insult to mothers?  I know my mother doesn't sit at home backing cookies either.

Honestly, if you people put as much effort in to solving real problems as you did feigning offense, the world would be problem free.

  13. My Mom baked cookies AND went out into the world and made a difference. That's what Hillary meant.

  14. No, it wasn't in "insult."

Unless you're a woman who has done nothing with her life.

Er...dear? That would be "whose job it is" not "who's job it is."

Perhaps you should have taken a few night courses and laid off the cookie baking. And I'll take ONE of Hillary instead of a MILLION narrow-minded brainwashed drones like you.

  15. I think it was a rather rude statement.  How dare she claim staying home and raising your kids is "nothing".  It is up to each woman to decide where their priorities are.  If one chooses to pursue a career and another chooses to raise kids then both should be acceptable and valued..
