  2. I live right by the port of fort lauderdale, so I see the ship all the time.  It is very small and old.  I would not recommend going on it.  I have never been, but a few people that I know who have gone on it said it was terrible.  The food is free, but it was not very good.  It is also a short cruise.  If you are looking for a weekend cruise, there are other ships out there such as royal Caribbean that I would recommend going on.  Just go to their website.  It may be a little more money, but worth it.

Personally, I would not go on it, even if they gave it to me for free.

  3. It's not for everyone.

If you're into classic liners, this one of only a few left in the world.  Many folks that I have talked to who were on this vessel years ago are not happy about recent changes. But, you do get to see a lot of a ship from an era when ships were a mode of transportation rather than a vacation destination.

It will go to the breakers after the next round of SOLAS rules come into effect. So, your time to do this is limited.

Yes, the food is "included" in the fare and, as far as I know, there is no premium dining option.

If you want glitz, lots of activities, lots of people, and a new ship, you're going to be sorely disappointed. Go for one of the major lines.

  4. Imperial Majesty is an old ship that is now used for 2-day cruises from FLA to the Bahamas, according to CruiseCritic.com.  Go there, click on "Reviews" and/or "Boards" and you can look up comments from past cruisers.

Food on cruises is "free", in that you've already paid for it in your cruise fare.
