  3. Just another money making exercise for the TV companies, and rich playboys. Soon we shall see all the best British cricketers lured away from domestic cricket eg Brad Hodge left Lancashire for five weeks to play in India.

    The true British spectator who goes to county cricket and other forms of the game is being made to suffer. If authorities are not careful they will end up with nothing more than Twenty Twenty types of cricket.

    What will happen when the TV companies and playboys loose interest , where will domestic cricket be then.

  5. As I watched the first few games on TV from India last weekend there was no doubt in my mind that the IPL is going to be massive.

    The build-up has been equal to any of the great sporting events including the Olympic Games and any World Cup tournament.

  11. It seems fine, as long as you like 20-20. I'm just an old f**t, however, and to me this kind of cricket is not the real game. Not very many people seem to enjoy the 'traditional' game, but I'd much rather watch it while relaxing in the sun with a nice pint than see the crude smashing about of this brash spectacle. It's not a game for true cricket lovers.
