  1. I understand she is a strict christian, so she wouldnt believe it.

  2. She shows that not all politicians are bent on bleeding more tax money out of the masses for nothing. She's made a wise decision to be a skeptic.  Obviously the alarmists haven't affected her.  Bravo!

  3. Very exciting.  Refreshing to see a politician with courage.

    Go Sarah!

  4. The debate about global warming is only over in the minds of it's advocates. The facts do not support any of the predictions made by the IPCC. The warmest year of modern record was 1998. The past year has seen nearly universal downward trends in temp (snow in Baghdad for the first time in recorded history) and the southern hemisphere is undergoing another winter cooler than in recent years. Which probably means the same will happen in the northern hemisphere this year.

Exactly where is the warming? Not in the mid or upper troposphere which is what was expected. Not at the poles, the south pole continues to cool and the arctic ice largely returned over a single winter. Not in the oceans which are undergoing a long-term cooling from their respective multi-decadal oscillations. Not at rural temp stations either. The fact is, most of the warming took placed solely in ground monitoring stations which do not meet the NOAA's own guidelines for unbiased measurement. Only 4% were sited as the NOAA suggests to prevent any bias in favor of warming and nobody will release data showing that this bias has been adequately accounted for in the overall records.

We're in danger of considerable cooling if the current solar cycle does not start, it's been stalled with little to no sunspot activity since the last cycle tapered off. The last time this happened for a prolonged period 'just happened' to coincide with the coldest period of the Little Ice Age, called the Maunder Minimum. Even wikipedia has been unable to fully remove this data so you can easily find out for yourself.

Whatever else we learn about Gov. Palin, I don't think her stance on unendangered polar bears being treated as if they need protection or her doubts about a UN power grab and profiteering from selling of carbon offsets will hardly bias me against the ticket.

  5. She is capable of learning.  The effects of global warming are more pronounced at high latitudes.  The evidence of sea ice melting and permafrost thawing in Alaska, together with exposure to a broader electorate that is not dependent on the oil industry will shift her opinions.

  6. Just goes once again to prove that a high IQ blended with a high level of common sense is better than a mediocre IQ and a total lack of common sense. The biggest problem democrats, RHINOS and Neo Cons have is low levels of common sense.

  7. I think it's one example of many that show she has little respect for science.  She also wants Creationism taught in schools and doesn't want polar bears listed as a threatened species.

Someone with so little respect for science does not belong in the White House.  We've already seen the consequences over the last 8 years.

  8. Makes me like her even more.

    She is right and smart.

    Thanks for providing your source.

  9. hey, she wants to teach creationism in schools too.

on the other hand, apparently she does have making babies down to a science.

  10. Finally! A politician with common sense!

  11. It tells me she thinks for herself and doesn't kowtow to environmental extremists.

  12. In environmental issues I think she is further to the right than Bush.  Her husband works for BP (formerly British Petroleum).  She sued the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to have Polar Bears removed from the endangered species list since their protected habitats are interfering with drilling for oil.

Since the environment is my big issue, it does not do much to sway me toward McCain.

  13. It is not that she does not believe in it...it is that she does not believe it is man made...most intelligent people dont believe it is man made...mankind does contribute to the natural phenomina...but our contribution is insignificant!

    Ms Palin has it correct.

NOW that aside...my decision as to who to vote for for president has NOTHING to do with how the feel about global warming

  14. I think she will fit right in with JM.

  15. She's right.

There's a lot of money in global warming. It's really a sham but too many people are making money off of it to say it's not true.

  16. At last- a politition with the guts to think for themselves-- Bravo!!

  17. You have to love someone willing to stand up to the political PC crowd. Go Sarah!

  18. It tells me she has some courage and a lot of common-sense, two things that are severely deficient in most politicians.

  19. What do you make of the fact that college graduates tend to accept Global Warming and High School dropouts tend to call it a hoax?

Did you know all scientific Nobel Prizes went to men, except two? The women contributed photos that helped discover Radioactivity and DNA Double Helix. Neither had a part in the theory. What if you found that all philosophers are men, except two. Could it be that our talents differ but both are needed? Will mothers be comfortable and secure?

Will the Gov. of Alaska find strategic international political concepts or whether the Polar Bear is going extinct are not her "cup of tea".

That she wants to be a heartbeat away from a 71-year old President, could make you wonder: "what were they thinking?".

That she favors drilling in old caribou mating lands will lose all the Republican.Environmentalist supporters -both of them.

If all that care about the survival of the Polar Bear voted AGAINST her and all that do not believe in Global Warming voted FOR her, I would say that the Election is over: Sen. Obama won by a landslide or, a Tsunami from the East to the West Coast.

Those that know she favors teaching "Creationism" in Public Schools, may not want to even talk about her. I thought Neanderthal was a man.
