What do you think about Los Angeles?

Question

born in LA, been there, or never been there... what do you think about it?

im born and raised here and i LOVE it... but alot of people hate it here... im just interested on what everyone thinks

I've only been there once, on a 9-day vacation with my husband back in the fall on 1998.  We went to Knotts Berry Farm for their Halloween Haunt, spent 2 days at Disneyland, went to a miniatures museum, drove past some of the stars' homes (it was trash day at Jay Leno's house!).  Rode down Rodeo Drive, of course!  

It was overwhelming.  I had never been in so large a city before.  So many cars!  And so many PINK houses - what's up with THAT?????  We don't see a whole lot of pink houses here in North Carolina!  :-)  

The people were mostly very, very nice and friendly.  We went to one Mexican restaurant and oh my!  My mouth still waters when I think about that delicious food.

I don't know that I could ever live there, but there was SO MUCH to see and do, and of course in just 9 days we got to see and do so little of it.  We'd love to come back one day, for another nice long vacation.
