  1. I don't think he is any good, how much more can he possibly have left.

  2. It's not a spectacular trade, but he's signing for the veteran minimum, so they're not spending a lot of money. He's a veteran player who can probably give them some solid minutes at small forward, and possibly even play a little power forward if needed. He's also a decent, although certainly not great, three point shooter, so that could be helpful as well. Overall I'd call it a solid signing.

  3. Marshall is horrible. Horrible.

"oh!! I'm envy Philadelphia, now!! I miss having Donyell Marshall on the Cavs!"

Wow seriously? I thought if anybody would be happy it would be Cavs fans. Strange, you must like players who don't bring anything to the team?

Wow have any of you guys actually watched him play?

  4. What up Haloengel,

i think Marshall is a very good pickup for the Sixers.  People forget that he's tied with Kobe Bryant for the most threes made in an NBA game with 12.

Marshall provides Philadelphia with a perimeter shooter- which they lost when they traded away Kyle Korver.  Their need in this area is augmented with the addition of Elton Brand- because when Brand gets double-teamed in the Post- you need someone who can hit the big three- and Marshall provides that for them.  Also as Philly makes the playoffs this year- and tries to make a run- it's good to have some veterans with some saavy playoff experience.

Donyell has been to the finals before with LeBron and the Cavs- and for Andre Miller, Elton Brand, etc. most of their playoff experience has been one and out- so he's a good pickup as well in that regard

  5. a good one and he can shoot the 3s

  6. He is a great 3 point shooter

Although mostly playing at power forward, Marshall showed what a good long-range shooter he was during his time in Toronto. In a March 13, 2005 game against the Philadelphia 76ers, he tied Kobe Bryant's NBA record for three-point field goals made in one game, when he hit 12 of 19 attempts (although Bryant achieved it in 18 attempts).

    but he is getting older

  7. that makes the sixers even better. you rarely see a PF making 3s.

  8. At least they will have improvement I'm sure imagine this

    Ratliff shot blocker

Brand Scorer, rebounder and shot blocker

Marshall Perimeter Shooting and a little bit of defense

Iguodala Still young and a highflyer scorer

Miller Playmaker and can shoot too

and a young bench or they can make  the veteran marshall an instant offense on bench like horry

  9. Yeah, he's one of the best bench warmers in the NBA. I would take him in a second, so he could keep the seat warm for the star players.

  10. If we are looking for a shooter why not trade marshall for jj redick or get adam morrison somehow. If we get O.J. Mayo champs baby.

  11. sure he could do something. i like his style of play. tall but can shoot

  12. He'll probably be used primarily for defensive purposes and only off the bench.

  13. he is a good perimeter shooter, something that the sixers need and now have (including kareem rush)

they also have a pretty decent backup big man

  14. i really dont know if thats good or not, but i know that he wont be play much with elton brand in the roaster.

  15. <B>donyell marshall will do something but i dont think it will get them to the playoffs<B>

  16. yeah your right he will do something but not much, he is old and can't shoot anymore

  17. oh!! I'm envy Philadelphia, now!! I miss having Donyell Marshall on the Cavs!

  18. he'll sit on the perimeter. his days of rebounding are long gone or doing much else... he'll be a poor man's version of robert horry. cleveland needed perimeter shooting last season and he still could barely get off the bench.
