  1. At first I thought very well of the Philippines, thinking that it would be like most other Asia Pacific countries and was looking forward to visiting it. My father was assigned a diplomatic post in Manila, but he'd never let me come visit, he kept convincing me that there's really nothing to see there. He told me many negative things about the Philippines ie. corruption, kidnapping, homelessness etc. He said that you could get abducted, shot or stabbed if you go wander around unaccompanied on the streets. He told me stories about how kids live in "cardboard" houses and how there's prevalence of theft everywhere--even his housemaid were smuggling condiments and raw rice out of his residence when she goes home. On the Internet I stumbled upon pictures of homeless people who starved to death and their body were found on the streets. Those pictures scared the h**l out of me. I wish that things could be improve there, my father keep telling me that it's because of your government that causes the economy to collapse.

  2. It has the most hospitable and beautiful people but also have the worst criminals

  3. Need little kids are all able to go to school for your country's future.

  4. Well, i am not really a foreigner. I am a Chinese who migrated to the Philippines 7 years ago.

The first time, I went here, I dint expect that Philippines is a very beautiful country. The provinces here are awesome. I love the smell of  the wind. The fresh air. Well, people are hospitable. They serve us with nice Filipino sensation like "inihaw na pusit, bangus, tilapia, manok" with special delicacies like "buko pie, mango crepe, pandan ice hielo, mango juice and so on. Is my spelling correct? Subic, and Clark is awesome. Now, the problem is the government officials here are corrupt.  Even though the Philippines is a beautiful country, I don't know what must the Filipino do in order to stop the corruption. Also, in this era, foreigners are frighten because of the so called Abu Sayyaf, NPA and other terrorists. The crime here is so high. I think death penalty is a must. I hope the President will improve your, or maybe our country. I think the government should improve the capital city., Manila

  5. The people are what made my trips to the Philippines great.  People are mostly friendly, and are mostly good.

As to the country itself, it can be very beautiful, but some places have too much trash on the road and not very organized or it seems no planning for the future (very bad traffic problems, also problems with flooding..etc...and people just say Bahala Na, oh well)

Once you get out of Manila, it seems to get nicer views and cleaner countryside with less traffic.

Overall, I think the Philippines is a great place to go and visit.
