  1. ARE YOU CRAZY? They can't do that. If that happened, which it can't, everyone with kids would go crazy, setting schools on fire and running around like chickens without heads! They would have to have twice the amount of floors in each schools to accomidate enough ROTC classes for all the students. I have an overcrowded school, so it would cause chaos! Plus, what does the president have to do with anything!? President Bush is an idiot. Because of him I have an assessment every week! I am tired of bubbling in answer sheets. His "No kid left behind" program does nothing to help kids! It only makes them more nervous from taking tests. So, does that answer your question?

  2. I am very interested in this.

Phyllis Shaffly's organization is very interested in things like this, and homeschool leaders write columns for Eagles and other pro-homeschool organizations such as World Net Daily.  I was just wondering if someone would be interested in doing an article on any school that forces ROTC.

  3. its not forced........? its the kids choice to take the class. do you even know what your talking about?

  4. It isn't forced. You either choose to take the class or you don't. Schools have to offer it, but student's DO NOT have to take it unless they want to.

  5. JROTC has been offered as an elective since my dad's generation (Vietnam) if not before.  It has nothing to do with our recent presidents.

No one is forcing a thing.  It is an elective and nothing more.  These classes have class size limits so that even if the entire school signed up for the class, it would never happen.

    Get your facts straight.

  6. Since we have an ALL voluntary force nothing has ever been forced on any students; they have the option to serve their community, and country if they choose to do so; and many do.

These programs are there for those who want them; the other side of the coin is that schools have tried to exclude such programs more often than not.

Personally I see nothing wrong with the draft; for both men, and women; it may give many the dose discipline they need, and a new appreciation for what they have.

    Freedom is not free.

  7. I took JROTC as an elective in High school in place of PE. It's a great program. So what does ROTC have to do with Bush? I think anyone who has the opportunity should take the class. It was a lot of fun for us.

  8. Forced?   It is still an elective in our school.   Lots of kids take it for an easy "A".  You just follow instructions and do what you are told and you get a good grade.

Yea.   President Bush is amazing but not sure what that has to do with a class in the 9th grade.   I think it was Clinton who had something to do with making the class an elective in high school.   That was a few years ago.

You really should look into homeschooling.   We don't force art, music,  or ROTC.    Most of the things we do are because we like to learn and realize that an education is important and valuable.
