What do you think about Reggie Bush?

I am a huge Bush fan. He clearly was an unstoppable force in college but now I'm having my doubts. I still think he's a great player but even I know he's not an every down back. No matter what though I'll still be a true fan if he becomes an NFL icon or a NCAA hasbeen. What do you think about Bush???

  1. Dude, I gave you a star just because you are the first Bush fan to ever not let it cloud his judgement on how he has preformed in the NFL. I saw him get a few decent runs in preseason, so I think we should see how he does the next few games. People use "He is not an every down back" as an excuse, and one idiot said that "they never intended for him to become the guy". The guy was drafted second overall in the 2006 NFL draft, and if he does not preform to that level he fails, no if and or buts about it. The Bengals didnt pass over all those other players in the draft to get Leon Hall (the best NCAA corner coming out of college that year) just for him to become a Nickel back :\.

If he does not preform like a first round RB during this season he fails.....he is a first round draft, and being able to carry the ball about 20-30 times a game is part of being selected that early.

  2. OVERRATED!  End of story.

  3. he should hit the hole harder, with confidence.

  4. I think he likes playing hide the salami with that party girl of the month Kim Kardashian.

  5. think if he's messing with kim he better get tested

  6. i use to like him a lot but last year was pretty dissapointing and i dont know what to expect out of him now. he better bring everything back to the table like he did in his rookie season i think hes gonna improve this year tho

  7. He's an Ncaa hasbeen and a NFL neverwuzbeen.

  8. I think he is good, but he really needs to be traded they should have traded him for Pacman + Draft Pick

  9. i saw the game yesterday he did good and i think he could prove to everyone thats he not just a good college players hes a good football player i like him to

  10. The Saints mis-use him. He is not an every down; 25 carry per game back. He is an explosive and elusive open field runner. He should be used as a kick returner, third down back, and perhaps some receiver (actually split out wide, not just catching out of the backfield).

I think Bush was a bit over-hyped at USC; and NFL scouts fall in love with speed and athletic ability. Not every college superstar's game translates to the NFL. Having said that, Bush still has time to be a very good pro.

  11. 10 years from now, might be on NFL Network, Top 10 most hyped drafted guys.

Not once has he broke a long one in the regular season.  70+ catches, but only 5 yards a catch? Almost every other RB averaged more, including fullbacks.  He is fast, but not shifty, has no moves at all.  Never breaks a run or a catch at all.  Why?

Houston was wise to take Mario Williams.  That entire USC team with Bush, Leinart and Jarrett, and Mike Williams, what have they done?

  12. I like Reggie Bush.

  13. I think he's a good guy, but from what I saw last night he did pretty good, and hope he can prove everyone that he's not a bust!

  14. He is too small. He reminds me of Eric Metcalf. Metcalf was a fast, small back with good return skills. He spent most of his career moving from team to team after the prospect of him being a premier back in the league wore off.

Football will always be for the big guys. No matter how many times announcers and athletes try to "change the game" or proclaim that there is a new prototype for a position, the fact is that the game will always revolve around the same nuances. Quarterbacks will always have to throw the ball first, RB's will always have to be able to run through tackles and not around them, and WR's will always have to be able to catch the ball. Guys like Reggie Bush, Vince Young, and Michael VIck are only good for about 5 minutes, then the game exposes them.

  15. He is overrated. Can't wait for the truth to come out that he took money when he was at USC. Bye bye Heisman Trophy.

  16. well i dk if its true now the last time i checked he weighed only 200 pounds. u cant get the numbers and the attention if ur not an every down back and hes just not big enough to handle the punishment of being an every-down tailback. but with his speed he would make a great receiver and would still be a force to tackle at receiver. if he gained 20 pounds i might change my opinion but till then i think the saints couldve done better with that top 5 pick they used to get him. without drew brees at QB they woulda gone nowhere that season they made the playoffs

  17. I think the truth has never been fully revealed about his taking money while at USC.  I enjoy his talent. I also feel USC has received preferable treatment that damages college football.

  18. I can't fault just Bush, no one from that team has done anything special even though they were hyped up. Leinart and Bush want to be celebrities not football players.
