  1. I have to agree with roadkill.  It should be a two way street when it comes to retaliation.  Of course I've never been a fan of the DH anyway.  I wish the DH would just go away.

  2. I think that head hunting never has a place in Baseball but hitting someone in the back or butt to send a message is fine by me, that is how baseball polices itself, it is a part of the game.

  3. I accept it as part of the game, you have to be there for your teammates and stick up for each other. When it gets to the point of out of control (head-hunting, brawls, etc), that is just plain stupid. You don't help your team when you get suspended for something ignorant. Your team needs you on the field, performing and winning ballgames.

  4. I like that baseball Police on it's own. I just wish the AL pitchers would have to face the music (in the batters box). if you are going to head hunt or get even..... you should HAVE to face the music.

  5. I beleive it has it's purpose. It has been around since the inception of the game. I just don't like it when they throw at a players head. If you want to knock down a player go for his back.

  6. they barely intimidate anymore.

  7. It's actually pretty stupid. And today you run the risk of getting banned from the sport and even going to jail. Intentionally throwing something 90mph at someone's head is assault with a deadly weapon - perhaps even attempted murder.

Not worth it just to try and keep a guy from reaching first base.
