I really don't expect many answers, but it would be nice to think someone is paying attention to the real world.

  1. I think it is great. We continue to increase our demand for electricity, we continue to build more electric plants. I think it is brilliant to see someone who can see the profit in wind energy. I have no doubt he'll make lots of money and will be criticized along the way. I'd much rather he make lots of money and not pollute the air.

  2. wind turbine are fine, they just need to be cost effective.

The use of methane for auto fuel is stupid.  There IS NO REPLACEMENT for natural gas, if we use it up driving, then there will be no way to heat your house or cook unless we replace every furnace and stove in the US.  Natural gas should be left to home heating and cooking.

Electricity can be made from wind, solar, coal, Uranium, water and others so use it to replace some of the gasoline.

T Boone has an ulterior motive for the natural gas use in cars, he own es a lot of it and wants to see demand go up so he can sell the gas and make a huge profit on it because he knows he'll only make a modest profit on wind. NOW you know the rest of his story....

  3. I am torn with his plan.  I love the idea the the private industry is investing in alternative wind power.   The more these individuals and companies get involved in the alternative energy field the better.

I am not so sure that the natural gas part of his plan will work.  But, if he can contribute more clean energy to the energy picture, than we might get somewhere with alternative fuel cars.

  4. needs  some small tweaks but, overall, thumbs up.

    I volunteered.

After all, are you going to believe the Oil advisers meeting with GM, Ford and Cheney,  or some one that has some truth to tell.

Where have our Oil advisers led us?

  5. He's a genius!....start with a panic...come up with a plan to calm the panic...make zillions of dollars from it....then move on to creating ways to get richer from the next panic...Bill Gates got penalized for his genius, but T-Boone found a way arouind it..congrats to him...Capitalism at it's best. And all the panic stricken greenites are going to make him richer in their quest for saving mankind.  I love it! Truth be known..T.Boone probibly throws his old WalMart bags in the trash like everybody else, laughing all the way to the bank!!

  6. Borderline idiotic

  7. I am for it. Something has to give, right? Can't stay on the road we're on without disaster, obviously. Any plan is a start. Those who cut it down never have a better one. It's easy to cut down someone else's idea rather than come up with one of your own. Pickens even said to come up with something better if you can because that's what we need - something that's going to keep our money in our own economy and help us get off oil. I just drove through Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming and it was great to see all the giant wind turbines spinning out there, creating electricity. By the way, I drive cars that run on natural gas already, and I'm saving loads of cash by doing so. It's 87 cents a gallon where I live and it's cleaner for the environment, too. It CAN happen, but you actually have to get out there and DO something, not just argue. I'm thankful Mr. Pickens is trying to make a difference in this world before he leaves it.
