I'm excited, but a bit concerned. Nady has been known to start off strong but then end the season poorly. But the yankees needed to acquire another bat. They've had trouble scoring runs this season. The yankees need Nady to stay consistent if they are going to make the playoffs. Damaso Marte was a good pickup.  from how the trade looks, the yankees didn't give much,

Lord knows they need pitching, and I am speaking from the entire MLB, not for my selfish intentions. The Yankees have Joba Chamberlain, Chin mIng Wang, and youngster Ian Kennedy...Nady should add another dimension to their pitching rotation...The Yankees in recent years needed good pitching to be successful because they have guys who can hit, obviously. It'll help the Bronx Bombers, it will give them a shot, it's up to the Yankees to make up the difference.

Its gonna help them a lot and they gave up nothing for him and solid lefthander. It will help them make the playoffs.

What is this a 6th Outfielder? lets see there is Cabrera, Matsui, Abreu, Damon, Gardner, and now Nady Im sure Im missing someone else too.

The Yankees need to get their paws on some good Starters. AJ Burnett sounds good, Why did they not trade for him?

Well I am a Pirates fan, and I am disgusted by the trade on the view of Pittsburgh. Nady was a player that brought us alot of offense and was great defensively.  Marte was the best relief pitcher we had, with an already struggling bullpen and starting rotation.  I thought we could of got a decent starting pitcher for Nady and Marte, instead of one AAA guy and 3 AA guys.  You Yankee fans got the better end of this trade.  The Pirates management are just a bunch of morons and will have a 16th consecutive losing season, and it will get alot higher than that if things like this keep up.  My Pirates are cheapskates and the Yankees are not.  Pirates even have the money if they weren't such tightwads.
