Now the European GP has done, and you saw the 1st F1GP on Valencia.

What do you think about that circuit after watching the race? Is that a good to watch circuit or just another boring "overtake-less" circuit?

  1. sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring. all the promise of a good race during quali, but a total let down on race day

  2. personally it was a good result with massa winning but it was quite disappointing as the commentators kept saying there should be loads of overtaking there wasnt oh it is gonna be such a good race but it was rather boring

  3. I liked the track, It looks like it has some fast corners that make it nice to watch. The bridge is a cool little touch as well. Overall a nice track I would always love some more overtaking circuit but I can only imagine what it's going to be like in the rain crash crash crash.

  4. I think (hope) that all these Tilke-designed circuits come out of their shell once the new regulations come in... because for all their impressive visual aspects and incredible single car laps... they haven't seen amazing racing particularly... Now I think thats down more to the aero than the circuit necessarily...the FIA commissions these circuits to being overtaking friendly (not too much, but conducive to racing at least) so unless Tilke has got it completely wrong (which I don't think he has... GP2 was good this weekend) the tracks may look more exciting with more overtaking-friendly cars on them...

  5. its was a nice track but not many exciting overtaking but it was good i like it but now much overtaking silverstone and canada or good for that, i think they should keep it, now my dream circuit in f1 is the nurburgring nordsheleife wow theyd crahs there

  6. Yawn.

The added the track in honour of Alonso's 'Spanish-ness' and ability to deliver more fans. This was also done for Schumacher but Germany had the beautiful Hockenheim and the stunning Nurburgring (in the wet anyway!)

This is all the Spanish had to offer?! Jeez!

It reminded me of the concrete jungles that were the US GP's in the 80's and 90's. There wasn't anything particularly enticing or intriguing about it and frankly can't see it lasting long unless some drastic improvements are made

  7. Yes it's just another boring "overtake-less" circuit

I don't know how the officials think, I mean why in the world they would make a race in a narrow street circuit? people want to see overtakes, so widen the streets up please and let us enjoy the races. I already hate Monaco race and now we have two Monacos

  8. It's a beautiful circuit don't get me wrong, but yesterday's race was a disappointment! I heard during the GP2 series there were incidents taking place, but in F1, there was nothing! I don't know if the drivers were just being cautious or what, but it was a total bore! Next year, there are new rules and plus slick tyres are coming back so who knows? Maybe next year's gp will be better!

  9. .

Another Human Tyke designed track, Herman's Tikled or is it Hilman Trike.....whatever...I'm looking forward to Spa and more people like Coulthard triiiiiiing overtakkering lol movies lol n writtin a nu blogg...lol

My nu blub will be lol http://bashingmybloggyblogspotLOL.boblsp... it's not up yet but whaddya think hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???

EDIT: I don't know too much about opthalmology Shamroozi - I was even lucky to spell it - but surely two Monacos are gonna be a pair of Spectacles eh? EH?.....Boom Boom!!!! Ha Ha Ha.

    .

  10. It was so boring that after Kimi retired from the race, I switched off the TV, because there was not much happening in the race

  11. When they've finished it - it will be easier to judge.

The ariel shots of it do look quite appealing though

  12. valencia was good....not really exciting....only kazuki ,david coulthard, and kimi made it a bit happening....kazuki-by breaking alonso's rear wing,david-by spinning in the start and then by tring an crude overtaking move on fisi(and fisi showing him the door by closing the door lol!!!),kimi-by almost killing the refueller and then by blowing his engine and not to forget massa's victory.....minus these all and you would have founnd me sleeping on  my couch.....also the bridge is an high point of the track.....

    EDIT:

Julian G- the track designers name is 'Herman Tike'....u typed something weird!!

  13. The location looked nice, but the track wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The end of the lap seemed interesting with all those fast turns before the final hairpin, and it's good to have the bridge as well.

  14. Well it looks good, rough edges aside. Very smooth for a street track.

Don't understand why there were so few overtakes, the GP2 races had many, as did the GT cars. I think its a power track, like San Marino was and the only way to overtake is by slip streaming another car, which with current aerodynamics, it next to impossible.

Maybe next year with the new aero regs and grippier slick tyres, it may be better, well couldn't be any worse!

    Qualifying promised so much too.

Typical Hilman Tilke designed track, visually impressive, technically pathetic. ( Turkey and China aside).

    Still Spa next.

  15. It doesn't seem like they completed it properly, or maybe they just rushed it. There was a lot of dust and litter all around the track, the camera angles were a bit weird and there wasn't a lot of overtaking like they had said.  The FIA and the organizers need to rethink this circuit if they want to attract more viewers because the Valencia circuit is something that can put off potential F1 fans.
