What do you think about YAZ birth control?

Hi, i was just prescribed YAZ for acne problems. does anyone have anything to say yay or nay for yaz?? i was wondering what to expect....weight gain? breast increase? any negative side effects? will it help acne? I know its different for other people but I would just like opinions.

Hello,

It gave me horrible Migraines.  I am prone to migraines anyway, but when I was on YAZ, I had several within a weeks time always at the same time of the month.  When I quit taking YAZ, the migraines stopped.  I didn't have any other side effects, and I don't know about the acne.

I am on my fourth week of YAZ. I got my period two weeks early and it lasted for 11 days. I was a little scared but I read that this is normal. I am also on yaz for acne. I haven't gained any weight (let's hope it stays that way) and my breast size stayed the same. As for acne, it is the same but my dermie told me that it will take about four months for the acne to clear up. But I hear so many answers I have no idea what to believe. Good luck!

I started it last month. This month I have less acne, no PMS, barely any cramps, and my period only lasted four days. The first couple of weeks I was on it I had some cramps but those didn't last long.

i love it. i did not gain weight or breast size. it did help acne even though i never really had much. the only problem i had was in the first month i experienced mood swings, depression, and nausea. I was taking it in the afternoon originally until i got fed up with the problems and called my doctor. she told me to start taking it before i went to bed so i did and immediately everything stopped and i have loved it since.
