  1. its ok  if its not pass 9;00 and you know who  there talking to  and if there close to the same age not older  that can be  bad

  2. how do you feel about an exponential phone bill?  Lay down the law, give a time constraint, and if he/she balks, take away the privilege.  Key word=privilege!

  3. I don't see anything wrong with that, as long as it's not past 9:00 pm.

  4. depends who it is with, with a girl it's okay but not to much otherwise up up up with the phone bill, if its with a boy, moniter.

  5. my 2 teens are currently grounded from the phone because they ignore call waiting.  I've already missed a few important calls because of their ignorance and disrespect of my lines.

  6. Not after dinnertime. Kids have enough responsibilities with school and getting to bed, it will just distract them. You have to step in and say no, they won't say "I need to go to bed" on their own.

  7. just as long as it's not time for bed it's ok.

  8. It's really not that big of a deal !! just aslong as this <12>yr, old would listen to the parents when they set some time limit asto how long they can use the phone !?!  & if the home has call waiting:(YOU) the PARENT`'z'` had better be alerted to EACH&EVERY call that comes in !!!. For it may be some information that the PARENT`'z`' may need to know!?! Possibly to be able to keep the home running properly !?! <ex.>calls about light, gas, water, plumbing or electric bills !?! etcetera !?! So some time limit should be set up !! Maybe they can stay on later on the weekends !?!But during the week days MOM&DAD's rules are LAW asfar as those things!!  '`R`'r,r`r',..,

  9. how late are we talking???

anything past 12 is way too late but i depends ....

is this an every night thing or is it once off???

well i guess if your becoming tired and grumpy perhaps talking on the phone to all hours of the night is not the Best option.... ;)

sleep is important make sure your social life doesn't get in the way of that

  10. im 12 and on the phone from 4-10pm on skool days, 12-3pm on weekends and no-skool days

(we talk more on skool days, 'cause we usually have plans on non-skool days)

  11. I don't see a problem as long as there is some supervision.  Wouldn't want them making prank calls or calling the wrong number repeatedly waking someone up.

It's important for parents to teach good phone etiquette.

  12. As long as her homework is done, and she is respectful of the persons house she is calling I don't think there should be a problem.  It's important for kids to relax and be social with there friends they don't get much chance at school just to chat with friends.

  13. As long as at the party at the other end welcomes the call I can't see any problem with it.

Assuming it is not 3am and they have school the next day.

  14. it should not be a problem as long as their homework is done and it is not their bedtime /as well as have respect for others in the home right to use the phone

  15. what does at night have to do with it?

i remember being 12 and having a ton of friends... my parents were always pretty clear that i had to be off by bed time, but that was it.

  16. How late?  I'd say that the parents are in charge, and if it's a problem, put an end to it.  Phone time should be reserved for after homework, and before bedtime...12 year olds still need a good night's sleep...

  17. I'm twelve. I'm on the phone all the time!!!!!!

  18. Depends on what time it is.

I think it's fine for a 12 year old to speak to friends on the phone, but in moderation.  There should be a phone curfew and a time limit.

  19. No problem.

    Strict parents?

  20. i think thats bull im 13 and the phone is my life im active i play hockey soccer and MTB competivly and a whole buch of other sports get her a cell phone but then tell her she has to pay for half the bill

  21. Our oldest is now 13 and last year we limited her time by setting the kitchen stove timer(5-10 min depending on her behavior). This year we have become more open about it and let it go a lil longer. We also have the house rule that no one calls before 9am or after 10pm (unless family, planned call or an emergency). Lol, now she has discovered the internet/ims so that slowed the phone traffic down. We also limit the internet use to be off by nine pm and we have all her passwords or she doesn't get to be on it at all. Hope this helps.

  22. No reason to be on there for more then 20 minutes a day

  23. thats not that big of a thing
