To alternate between Australia and the UK every 2 or 4 years? Tell me what you think, do you think it would be commercially viable? Would it get enough supporters?

  1. The representative season is already too conjested. Besides, we already have the best Rugby League concept in the world called State Of Origin.

  2. Will there be any non australians in the NRL all stars, I believe Benji Marshall has a good chance and though this probably doesn't count as they are both Australian I believe that Steve Price and Brent Tate from the Warriors would be shoe ins.

  3. Awesome concept!

  4. i think it would be just like a test aussies by 18 probably a waste of time

if were to be played in brisbane it would get a lot of bums in seats bring it on lol

  5. that would be heaps kool

    i would go..

  6. Its just an Australian V England match in different jumpers.

I have a interest in and watch the Super League and with respect to all the Austrlaian and Kiwi's there doubt any would be selected above the current English rep squad.

I'd much rather see maybe a North/South Island Origin or every 4 years each country supplies 2 teams:

    Aus - NSW & QLD

NZ - North & South or NZ and Oceania

    UK - English & Combined Welsh/Scot/Irish/French team

It would probably be closer in terms of quality to what a world cup should be than what we will see later this year.

  7. I think if you got the best players from both Leagues regardless of nationality and made a team then it would be a HUGE success. The coach could be the Grand Final winning coach of the previous year, but the biggest hurdle would be when to play it...

  8. i think it would be Australia Vs Australia "A" realistically

  9. yeah we already have that its called a test match....

  10. I think it would be fairly good. however it would end up being AUS/NZ v AUS

i think the only kiwi player that would have made the southern side would have been sbw and now hes gone. i mean benji isnt gona push out lockyer and wiki is retiring.

The super leagues team would probably consist of mainly aussies and kiwis that had played in the NRL as people no they are better players thats y they are bought. But now i just remembered that you said people would vote lol

That would be awsome as just like the players selected in the players poll but it would prolly end up being the same teams any ways. The timing would be spread to which may seem viable. But i think a world cup should be held more often i think the last one was 2000 i think every 4 -5 years would improve the game.

  11. In Brisbane it would get a full house.  But let's be realistic.  What you are suggesting is brings up the same problems and the same logistical framework of the the World Club Challenge where whichever is the travelling team they will be at the end of a gruelling 30 week competition or early in pre-season preparations.  It would be a lop-sided contest and not all players would make themselves avaialable (based on club concerns or family) so it would water down the contest either further.  I agree it would be a good contest but patrons who buy tickets on the premis its "the best v the best" could well be disappointed!

  12. i think maybe australia V the rest of the world, that would be a match to watch instead of the world cup

  13. it would be a huge success i reckon.it dont have to be all poms  in the uk super league all stars,to play against the nrl all stars.there are so many aussie players at the super league comp.just like some of the kiwis can be selected at nrl all stars team.for example, sbw.benji marshall, krisnan inu, asotasi and may more.nrl all stars dont have to all aussies.so is the super league wont be all poms.then one giant sporting company will sponsor the concept.like nike.brint it on.

  14. Both teams would pretty much be all australian apart from the reserve bench

  15. if they play in brisbane it will be sucessful

  16. Yea sounds super. But would it be a contest? and will any non Australia players make the NRL ALL-STARS

  17. I think it would be sick. Good sugestion
