  1. I think its an alright idea but I would rather stick with the car that you have to drive.  I mean is that car going to be able to detect someone merging on the freeway and get out of the way in time like an everyday driver would do probably not.  I guess its a good concept though but its going to need work and the car isn't going to be very cheap.

  2. The insurance premiums are going to skyrocket, although I don't think this concept will happen in ten years. Liability might become an issue.

At low-speed travel a smart car might be safe (collision avoidance is easy and accidents will have only minor injuries at worst) and beneficial (useful for unattended parking, dropoff, fetching, etc).

  3. Just as many moving parts= just as many problems.....probably not gonna be the best idea ever, if it does happen..

  4. Cool idea, but a disappointing concept. I like to drive! :-)

  5. When/if a wreck occurrs, who will get a ticket if noone is actually driving the car? I do think eventually driving a car will become completely automated.

  6. It would be very nice and most likely a lot safer,no drinking and drive,no road rage .Huum sound really good

  7. I don't want to be one of the first ones to check it out, find myself in a ditch or pinned up against a tree...

But I'm sure after a few years they'll work out the glitches and it will work just fine... It will probably only work in city areas... I bet you can't take it off roading through the trees.

I'm excited about it, I'm a tech junkie and this stuff is just plain cool.
