  1. It all depends on the school environment.. I nearly sent mine to an all girls school. It depends on the person. If you are not interested in  boys mixed schools are fine but adolescence time is the best time to separate boys and girls.Girls generally study better away from boys andvice versa.

  2. stats show all girls schools do better educationally

  3. It all depends on the academic and emotional achievements of your daughter/sister/etc. when sending her to an all girls private school. If she adjusts and excels then you made a good choice, if not then you know having her in a co-ed environment is a better fit for her. I would research my options, and if it's something that you think may be of benefit to her I would definitely give it a try. If she doesn't excel then put her back into a co-ed environment. You never know unless you give it a try...Hope this helps. :)

  4. I would have loved such a thing. We actually have all-girl public school programs where I live--kind of like private school with the girls in uniform and everything, but free.

  5. Nowadays with all the young girls concentrating more on boys and bad influences..I think it is a great idea!

  6. There's a saying here that goes: "parents want single s*x schools for their daughters and co-ed for their sons!" LOL!

Research here proves girls do heaps better in all-girl schools while boys fare worse in all-boy schools.

  7. Well, it depends on the school.  Generally though, I prefer homeschool, but if I couldn't do that I'd opt for private school, provided it was a good private school.

  8. I think you would be more focused on school but it wouldn't be very exciting

  9. Hi Chum,

To send a girl or a boy to a same gender school or college sucks. This is the reason we get peverts.Excellence in terms of grades does not help in relationship. It is best not to try same gender schools.Learning is a complete process.

  10. I almost went to St. Mary's School in North Carolina. It did look like a very good school academically, but the lifestyle was a bit too structured for me. Every minute of your time had to be filled by a structured activity picked for you and it just didn't leave much time for persuing personal interests or just relaxing in general, and because of a lack of communication opportunities I wouldn't be able to call home much (if ever) or have contact with friends back home. Some of the girls there were nice, but a lot of them just seemed really snooty... not wanting to associate with the kid who can only afford to go there on scholarship... I just felt too out of place, and I think if I went through with it and attended that school I would just feel too trapped. I'm glad I didn't go.

  11. I think it's a good idea for younger girls, for the same reason alexandriaferrari1 stated. But for the sake of keeping in touch with the real world, it's obviously healthy to maintain some outside social contact with boys as well.
