What do you think about baseball being kicked from olympics?

I think its stupid that some snotty european people voted to have a sport kicked just cause its not big in europe. I mean Baseball is huuge in north and south americas and asia, soo ridiculous. Never watching olympics after this year.

Actually, baseball is recognized in many countries around the world. It comes in 2nd only after soccer (or football). I think its ridiculous as well, being that they think baseball isnt popular enough but sports like table tennis, badminton, trampoline, handball are? The baseball games are extremely important to many countries including Cuba, US, and Japan. For Cuba and Japan, these games actually present the world its strength in the olympic games. Its a real shame that baseball is getting cut but some of the sports people have never heard of are still being represented.

I love baseball but I have to tell you that Baseball in the olympics is terrible. The pitchers cant hit 90 and the players are has beens or maybe I should say never beens. Terrible baseball.

It's sad. But it's political. If the IOC committee that voted had more members from North American, Latin American and Asian nations, baseball might still be around. But European countries don't love baseball like we do. Remember, host Olympic nations have to field a team in EVERY sport. And in 2004 in Greece, the Greeks had to actually get minor leaguers from the U.S. with Greek heritage to play for their team. I think they only had one native Greek on the team. I'm sure England would be just as hard pressed to field a team in 2012.

I agree...baseball and softball should stay as Olympic sports.

If any sports should be eliminated, it should be trampoline, synchronized swimming, and gymnastics.  Figure Skating and Ice Dancing should also be eliminated from the Winter Olympics.

Any competition that relies on subjective judging to determine the FINAL WINNER is not a sport and thus, should be eliminated from the Olympics.

I think it should be brought back in. and not only that they should let mlb players in it. The USA team would amazing with a-rod, vlad,ortiz.it would be great.-+

I think this sucks. Baseball is hugely popular with Latin American countries (Dom Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc...) and loved by some Asian countries, but not much going on in Europe. I think the Europeans have too much pull with the IOC and voted it out.

One sport they should get rid of are the equestrian events. The horse does all the work, plus it's dangerous (anybody watch the ESPN :60 show on equestrian accidents?) And who can really afford to do the equestrian events, except rich elitist Americans and Europeans?

If we can move the Olympics to the end of October, we can have MLB teams play, much like how they have NBA players and pro tennis stars compete in the Olympics now. That'd definately be worth watching!

Well I think they should at least move it so we could have our superstars play not the crappy left over minor leaguers.  That's just my opinion.

I think it sucks.  Baseball is becoming more and more popular around the world, and if they remove it from the Olympic games, then the international popularity of baseball will no doubt decline.  It just isn't fair.
