By that, don't you think its sad that someone blocks you on here because they don't like your answer, or because they can't take a bit of honest and polite criticism?

It only seems to happen to the LGBT section. Why is that do you think?

  1. I could care less about blockers. I don't need their input

  2. The First Amendment is becoming an endangered species.

  3. A difference of opinion isn't really a good reason to block someone, we can't all agree on everything, and a little bit of conflict is a good thing.   Polite criticism and being rude and offensive are not the same thing though, and rude people deserve to be blocked.

I admit I'm very quick to block people who give the impression of being here just to cause offense, but if they hang around for a while and I can see they're harmless I'll unblock them.  I never block the usual trolls though, not Tara J or Eleanor Louise or Dr Doris etc.  The only troll I block is a fella who probably doesn't even need naming, and he gets suspended so quickly it's hardly worth the effort of bothering to block him.  As far as I know, he's the only person ever to block me, just the once, and I was pigging livid about that because it was over something he started.

Is that a holiday photo you've used for your avatar?  You seem to have caught the sun on your face just a smidgen.

  4. i think it's sad and offensive. ):

  5. The h**l with blockers.  If they block you its becuz they dont want to hear your response and you probably have a really great response!!! They are cowards.  They want to have the last word!!  Dont sweat it!!

Edit....yes I will bring you something from Mexico!!!! Can't promise you someone who can help you dig around your moat however a nice souvenir for  you!!! lol!!

    Hugz and kisses!

  6. LOL  I block, but only known trolls.  Everyone else can disagree with me all they want.  Opinions are just that, OPINIONS!!  :@)

  7. I've had it happen on Homework Help, too - generally when I chide them for not even trying their homework before asking someone to do it for them.

The First Amendment is an American thing.  It's a law stating that Congress may not pass laws abridging the right to free speech.  It only applies to Congress, but a lot of Americans seem to feel that it applies to everybody.  It doesn't apply to Yahoo or anyone here, and I mourn the state of education in America.

By the way - I'm an American, and I'm a teacher.  Happily, I teach math, not history.

  8. Yeah, I know what you mean

There's one guy on here who's ego simply can't take the fact that you dont worship the ground he walks on.  (I shalln't name and shame)

I only ever block people who are abusive directly to me

(ps - First Amendment - its something American I think so not relevant to us Europeans)
