Absolutely NOT, insurance companies are already profiteering on health premiums as is. The costs that these companies charge need to be reigned in; not expanded. Creating new classifications based on risk only benefits the insurer. Most health insurance coverage is proved by group plans were you as a participant are already sharing the cost of risks that you and other participants place on the policy. The correct way to administer this is to spread the costs evenly no matter what the risk. If we are going to charge more for fat people, smokes or those with chronic health issues then we should just dump the shared group policies and provide individual policies tailored to our individual needs. If we are going to persecute fat people then lets do this why the h**l should I pay for you carpal tunnel surgery because you type a lot and why should I pay for your kids trip to the emergency room because you decided to let them play contact sports or why should I pay for your mental health treatment because your mommy didn’t hug you enough while you were a baby? Come on people get your heads out of your asses and start to and think.
