  1. No nation was ever a military _hyper_power to the scale the that USA is and it is likely no nation ever will be. A single carrier group has more power than some navies. The disparity is simply staggaring.

  2. There strenght lies in numbers. They arent trained like our men no one else in the world is

  3. No not right now anyway:

    1. Vietnam era military technology

    2. Huge army with no way to deliver them to the battlefield.

    3. No stealth capability

    4. No integrated battlefield technology

  4. The USA was at the right place at the right time. They rose at about the same time as most other nations were hurting from war. With their involvement in a war spanning two fronts basically half-way around the world, they had time to hone their logistical capability and supercharge their economy (making war-time materials). Once this ended, they were the only super power left relatively unscathed from the war, and with a booming economy to boot. Later, their only real competition was Russia, and they won. This left no force that could actually compete with them toe to toe, and it is still like that today. China could possibly become a hyper power like that, but it would have to hope for a war between Russia and Europe/ America. Even then they would have to hope that it wouldn't go nuclear and that the Russians could actually damage the US mainland noticeably. EVEN THEN, they would have to severely upgrade their military quality, military tech, military training, logistics and economic capability. That is quite a plate to handle, wouldn't you agree?

  5. Can it be?  Future tense?  China has been, and continues to be, one of the very few nations on the earth that we wouldn't dare start a war with.  They are very much a super power.

  6. It is possible, but they have a long way to go to become a military super power.  This doesn't mean they are a pushover as they have the most manpower.  They just have no where near the same capabilities of some countries.
