  1. Unless you have been a recent victim of identity theft (or think you may have been) I think it is rip-off.  Monitor your credit reports by getting a copy of your credit reports free each year and dispute any inaccuracies.

  2. Not unless you think you might be the victim of fraud or identitity theft.

  3. Credit bureaus are trying to make up for revenue lost when the government said they had to let us see out reports for free.  One of their answers was to create a panic that could be solved with a fee service called credit monitoring.  Unless you lost your wallet or have some other specific reason to believe you are a target, it's a waste of money.

Note: the other scam is "know your score".  If you've been paying your bills, your score is fine.  If you are a deadbeat, your score reeks, but you knew that already.

  4. Yes, it worked fine for me.

Try this one - http://buildcredit.ifastnet.com - I monitor my credit score here during last 3 years. And also cleaned off some bad items from my credit report. You can apply for free initial plan and get your scores and reports for free.
