Established players guranteed spots in their sides are playing for money, struggling players are playing for a possible recall and the younger players are playing for the teams

i feel they r playing for their love for cricket,

money is definitely a factor,but it comes after cricket,

BCCI,for sure is organising IPL purely for money.even if cricketers r playing for money,nothing wrong in that,

in the end v only r goin 2 spend our time  n money to see them play.

Who is a person in this world who plays international cricket just for fun. All have to support their families and this is a nice way of earning money. Pride is an alternative and Team comes at the last. The players play for the Team and win just to earn more money than just participation money !

No doubt only for money. And their love ofor cricket also. when you have been so mch of money for 6 weeks which they don't get for playing international matches for a year.

Players donot think they are playing for money, if they would have played like that you would not have seen Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, kumble or Lakshman like this I mean They even would have played only 5matches or 10.

Players play to show their tallent and improve so that they can make it to the Indian Team if not why would Ganguly had to suffer like this and had to make a come back in a big way, Same in the case of Sehwag, Dravid, Lakshman, Kaif, somany.

They play well and automatically Money comes in their way..

There is a Councelling Department for players and they teach everything for players..

Its not like Play one series and win money for rest of their life.

Players play for Pride and to show their tallent/Skills in the World Level...

All the renowed players from various countries of the world have joined the IPL, purely for the sake of financial benefits. Publicity and fame may also be other reasons that IPL has drawn so many famous cricketers, but I think that these reasons aren’t nearly as important as money. And as for team, well, I would say that nobody cares about team and sportsmanship nowadays. So, team is obviously not an important factor which has lured the star cricketers into IPL.
