  1. He visitado 2 veces a Ecuador.  Me encanto.

  2. They make good Panama hats.

  3. soy ecuatoriana de corazon i love my country....especially since they are soccer champions of all america now.... go Liga!!!!! beautiful country!!

  4. Ok:) Where I come From Is Portobiejo:)

And There are some hot ladies:p

I love the weather and your gonna be expecting swet:)

But its like a small village together...

But if your hot/beautiful Your going to be complemented by men working outside... Like i went walking wit my sis.. And people were saying ... .Meow!, Ay...And Some dumb things:)

  5. i love ecuadorrrrrr;;

    sabes porque?

por que;;my best friend lives thereeeeee:D

  6. my friend in paris is from Quito.  her and her family are great.  i like the food.  good surfing there too.  cool country.

  7. When I think of Ecuador these come to mind:

    Paradise on Earth

    Geo- and bio-diversity

    The Galapagos

    Friendly people

The "new Costa Rica" - about to become a major tourism and retirement destination

Poor government enforcement of protected waters from international poachers

    Political instability

    Crime/dangerous for travelers

Macho culture = bad for women

Conservative Catholic culture = negative for g**s/lesbians

    Cockfighting/Bullfighting: poor animal rights

Troublesome closeness to Columbian drug lords and revolutionaries and lastly...

cannot wait for my 3 weeks in October!

  8. My dad is from ecuador, so I know how it is.

I've never been to the galapagos, but I hear it is amazing.

My dad's family is quite hospitable, so I don't really know about hotels.

Food, amazing, quite a different -and smarter- aproach, by having lunch be the big meal as aposed to dinner.

The scenery is  amazing, mountains everywhere.

Climate, amazing, never thunderstorms which is fine by me.

The only problem is that inside of quito everyone is pretty much middle-class, but outside of the capitol, everyone is pretty much 1st or 3rd class.

This is kind of depressing to see street children after coming out of a beautiful, expensive house.

All in all, it's a wonderful country rich with culture.

(If you don't know my family, google Luzuriaga and quite a few things will pop up)

  9. I've been to Ecuador twice, my husband is Ecuadorian and I'm American/Italian.  The people are very kind and the country is so diverse.  I think it's a great eco-tourism spot.  The capitol is so polluted that it's difficult to breathe and the streets and highways are much dirtier (garbage strewn all over) than it should be.  If Ecuador wants to grow as an Eco-tourism spot it must clean itself up a bit.  The food is not what I would call good.  I think there are delicious items but it is very repetative.  Every restaurant serves similar fare.  In the capitol you can find better restaurants.  The cloud forests and jungles are AMAZING.  Banos is terrific.  Otavalo - fun.  Coast - beautiful.  People - wonderful.  If you can tolerate a little pollution and a little unsanitary conditions.... then this is the place for you!  I will go again soon!
