I guess Filipinos are really great, they are very talented in different fields.

I am a Filipino so I must be proud of them but sad to say only few would admit that they are really filipino, some would say that they're not. Actually I didn't know that Vanessa Hudgens is a Filipina..:(

Honestly, only Apl De Ap, the 2 American Idol girls and Lea Salonga have publicly showed patriotism to their country. The rest have long embraced the "American Dream". That's why I kinda don't get it why some of us are so happy when there's this Half-Pinoy Celeb when I bet my a$$ that they don't even know that they're have a Filipino bloodline themselves.

There is no real way to lump all the filipina people into one pot and answer this question the people of the R.O.P are a very diverse group it depends on which Island you happen to be on the lang-changes as do the people from luzon to Cebu to Mindanao the people and the Lang-change from place to place.

Out of all those people that you've mentioned, probably only 3 of them will admit they are or part Filipino. The rest hardly ever mentions it and don't even want to be known they are Filipino. Are you all that proud of these people? What have they done for the Philippines? Like I said most of them don't even mention that their Filipino or else the Philippines would be on the map in which it's not.

I'm not really big on this whole "asian pride" thing.. not that there's anything wrong with being proud to be what you are. Just that, you are a person like everyone else. You're no better than the next guy, regardless of race or gender. And sometimes it seems like people think they are. If a white person says he or she has "white pride" that could be considered racist, right?  What's the logic in that? Also, I cannot stand it when people use the term "AZN pride" ... kind of makes one sound unintelligent..
