What do you think about fundraising causes...??

We have a family reunion every year, but we want it to be better and better every year. SOOOOO this year we decided to have some fundraisers to raise money for bigger and better things. WHAT do you think about raising money for that? I know it depends on what I do/sell, but do you think it is a bad idea to raise money for that particular cause??? Or is it to materialistic?

Also, what are some things you raised money for or have had funraising besides like church, school, and sports?

Fund raising is usually confined to charitable causes.  I would think that you would be better served, by either selling some personal possessions or getting an additional job, and using the income for your get together.
