I'm planning to get these exams. But my colleague told that one these kinda certificates are not important when i'm seeking other jobs in the market, certificates are just a bonus laying behind my resume. The most important thing is experience rather than certificates. But I'm thinking that if I'm learning a new stuff from Microsoft, i rather get it certified as well. I heard people said that as IT professional, getting certified like MCTS, MCPD, MCITP, and such, can get me valuable in the IT market. What do you think?

Where can I get info for these certifications? What kinda books/tutorials/websites can you recommand for studies/preparation? Where can I get to do some trial exams?

  1. Experience is good yes, however you do need certification or a diploma to get a good job. I had my A+ and N+ and Server+, MOUS Certifications and still found that I need to get a Diploma to get the job that I wanted. So now I have a Diploma, MSCA, MCSE, A+,N+,Server+, Mous and  a great Job.

Here is the microsoft website for all the courses that they offer.
