  1. I think it's a good sociological experiment. It's an issue that divides people politically and religiously in certain ways. You have an overwhelming scientific majority opinion, yet a teeming crowd of armchair deniers. This is much like the issue over evolution.

The great thing about global warming is that the debate will be settled in most of our lifetimes.

  2. It doesn't exist.

  3. 100% true

  4. Actually, sciences is proving that is DOESN'T exist.  That it was warmer in the Middle Ages, and this winter has been the coldest on record for the last 100 years.  When a Minnesota town can hit -40, that is not warming in the slightest.

I think about Global Warming, and how much of a crock it is.

  5. I think it's dangerous and if it doesn't exist we should still try to keep it from happening.

  6. I think the Earth MAY have warmed a degree or so in the last 100 years....whoopty-freakin-do!  Even the "experts" admit man is only responsible for a small fraction of this one degree, if any at all!

  7. The quail of doom believes that the earth does not rotate in a perfectly round orbit, or on a perfect axis, and isnt a perfect sphere.  Also, the complex chemical reaction that happens on the sun changes the corona's temperature from like 1 million to 3 million degrees.   The amount of time we have been measuring the earth's temperature is like a split second to the sun.

humans are tiny when compared to the earth.  we wish we could change the temperature.  why dont we go pollute mars, until the temperature is where we want, and go inhabit it.

  8. I think it doesn't matter what the climate is doing.  It is so huge and complex that our scientist have an almost 0% chance of "figuring it out" within the next century.

But, that doesn't mean that we can't learn something from the current trends.  I see nothing wrong with more people learning to become a little more self sufficient.  Getting off oil and coal is also still a good idea because at some point in the future, and it doesn't matter if its next year or in 200 years, they will be gone.

We need to figure something else out, so why not start now?

    Know what I mean?

  9. It makes me sad because the ice caps are melting. Polar bears, types of penguins, and many more kinds of animals are being killed because of it. Polar bears try to swim from one chunk of ice to another and they drowned. That so sad!!! Over the past five years, studies have found that melting Antarctic ice caps contribute at least 15% to the current global sea level rise of 2mm (0.08in) a year. When the ice melts the water level will rise. Also, the slat water in the ocean will mix with the fresh water from the ice caps, causing some types of fish to die as well.

  11. whats it really matter anyway? the earth and the sun have a heckofa longer life expectancy than we humans and animals do.

  12. i think it's a serious problem.

it's speculated that Darfur is a result of drought forcing migration leading to half a million dead.

currently, there's enough ice in the world that the excess energy that the world retaining.

with the increasing population, and the increasing drought, there will be many far more serious problems.  it is not at all impossible that there will be another world war, which everyone will lose.

you note that china has taken over tibet.

    it will take over Taiwan.

and the rest of the world will do nothing.

at the same time, the US is outsourcing it's manufacturing capacity.

    AND IT'S MONEY.

these are very dangerous times, for all of us.

not this year, or this decade.

    but surely this century.

  13. i worry for the future of my nieces and all you other young people :'-(

thank goodness i dont have any kids, i'm sure the worry would be much worse.

i imagine what it will be like in 30 years when i'm an old lady. i'm going to start martial arts classes, i want to be un-knock-overable or i wont stand a chance.

  14. Significant harmful warming from humans is a fantasy from the political left.  The climate is changing, always has changed, and will continue to change unless we develop a technology far in excess of current abilities.  The political left always assumes a knowledge that they cannot possess whether it is from assigning basic needs to consumers or predicting the weather.  They don't seem to get the idea that a million people know what they want more than a few bureaucrats.  At the same time, they convince themselves that they know more than they actually do about climate and science and easily accept that humans are destroying everything because that fits in their world view.   Global warming is primarily a natural phenomena and extremely beneficial to man.  To suggest warming is necessarily bad it is the height of ignorance and arrogance.  I got a notice of violation for saying that truth yesterday. The truth hurts sometimes.
