What do you think about having pet guinea pigs?

Guinea pigs are fun, but they require a big cage and most people dont want to buy a big cage becasue it takes up too much space. Most people get the cage that is about 2 x 4 which is ok but you definietly want to let him out and run around. When I had mine I really didnt have a lot of problems, just had to change the bedding often.

Guinea pigs are nice pets, but before you go and buy one from a pet store, check with your local SPCA shelter. They do have them up for adoption for very little money, And they are healthy too. I adopted my rats from the SPCA and they are perfectly happy. Also, the SPCA will have the background on the pig too.

I think there adorable!!! My friend had one but she put it outside for about 2 hours and it died. It was even in the shade!!!(its REALLY hot where we live)

they are relly cute i have a baby one that i bougth on 16 of july 2008 and he is really cute you do need to spend a lot of time with them and clean their cage regualarly but they are fun,good luck

well, i had two guinea pigs and they were dirty, stinky and extremely antisocial.  the only thing they did was sit in the very back corner of their cage and scream and p**p. and i didnt even do anything wrong. so im not a fan. just be prepared to clean the cage and do a whole lot of socializing.

my cousins had 17 guinea pigs and their house was filled with tons of flies!!! i guess 2 of the same s*x are fine...of 2 different sexes in separate cages!!!

there cute.

not so affectionate iv realized.

there quick little creatures.

they climb stairs too so be careful.

if you let them run around keep a close eye.

they like to chew on wires.

don't bother them too much, surprisingly there bites

hurt pretty badly.

make sure not to over feed them

they get real fat.

so only put a little bit of food at a time.

changing there bedding is the only problem.

its a pain the the butt. and you have to do it often.

or it gets way disgusting. :P

but over all. there cute and cuddly and make great pets

but they only last 2-5 years average.

I Was Gonna Get 1 But Then I Decided To Get A Rabbit!!! But There Good Animal. There Very Vocal That Could et annoying Get Check There Noise On Youtube Or Something And If You Dont Mind Hearing That All The Time The I Wouls Consider You To Get It The Very  Cute And Vocal... When You Walk Into The Room There Very Excited To See You!!!!    They'll Squeak Away....

Guinea pigs are great pets. But try not to put a male and a female together, or else they'll be popping babies left to right, also if you have more than 1 in the same cage you'll have to change out the beddings often, or else ammonia from their urine will stink up your room.
