i think if you are a friend of mine and know me and is just trying to get my attention...fine...but if i dont know you then disgusting and i will ignore you and keep walking!!!

I think those who do it are people who can't seem to get a decent woman or man and have to resort to cheap tactics to try and get whatever's left out in the world.

That, and they were never taught how to approach a person in a civilized manner. They don't know any social skills in the dating area so they rely on primitive human skills (cave-men era) such as whistling and such.

I usually ignore these people. not even glance thier way. I love it because it makes them look so stupid being ignored.

Well, maybe when you're young, you get enough attention that you don't "need" honking or whistling, but let me tell you, when you get to be nearing 40, a little honk or whistle makes my day.  :-)

Both are rude.  Honking the horn for something other than signaling to a driver/pedestrian/biker that they created a potentially dangerous driving situation is actually illegal.

I hate it personally its very annoying walkin down the street. I feel like a piece of meat or a hooker cuz of the horns!
