  1. It's not something to tell what I think about, it's history, facts, but I'm interested to know actually.

  2. "you should not cry like a child for that which you cannot hold as a man"

  3. I live in Andalucia and I think you are referring to El Andalus. That goes back to the time of the Moors. The people from Andalucia often refer to themselves as being Andalus. They differ from other regions in Spain with their dialect. You will find the more rural the people the more accentuated their dialect becomes.

As for Islamic history, there is some wonderful archtitecture and historic sights to be seen in Andalucia. The jewel in the crown so to speak is the Alhambra Palace & Generalife in Granada.

History of every country is what shapes it's character irrespective of religion.

  4. first its Andalusia not Andalusia........ Andalusia was only the name during that time period........ it was an important part of history which left many marks, BUT its just history, the same as the Celtic history in northern Spain, etc..... Spain was catholic before and then catholic after.. i think i was an important and crucial part of Spain's history especially in the educational point of view  but i also believe that the Islamics had no right of ""taking over"", per say, and should now respect Spain's catholic culture and remember Andalusia as an important part of the past but not as something for the future

  5. There's an obvious influence from the Moors which makes every city even more mysterious. I loved it. The architecture is stunning in the Alcazar in Sevilla, the Mesquita in Cordoba, and especially the Alhambra in Granada.

  6. I think i'd change that name. It sounds like a rude word to put it nicely.
