As a Yankee fan, I'm overjoyed that he is gone from the Red Sox.  In fact, I'm happy he's gone from the AL altogether.  He completely dominated Yankee pitching.

They got him for a minor league pitcher and underachieving LaRoche. They basically stole him from the Red Sox. LaRoche has been playing poorly and with the acquisition of Blake and DeWitt on the bench, there is no need for him. Great Job Colletti.

Well..... I don't think it was the best trade. Manny is lazy and unfocused.   The dodgers already have lots of outfielders. Too bad Andrew Jones didn't go. He is worthless!

He won't help you get anywhere and it's just a waste of prospects if you don't sign him. Sign him for the next 4 years and it's an amazing deal. Besides that you're just going to get whooped in the NLDS and lose Manny, and you've already lost 2 prospects.

If the Dodgers can get Schmidt and Penny back - they could make a very serious World Series run...

People are really going to understand how great Manny is when David Ortiz begins to stuggle in Boston.

I think Boston settled for way less than they should have gotten for Him.

It will help the Dodgers line-up but will hurt them on defense.  We'll see, he can't be any worse than Andrew Jones...lol
