  1. idk about my bff jill but OMG gag me with a spoon

  2. I think he should have retired the first time and stayed retired.

He had a great run. He should have kept the chair and used it.

  3. Martin will fit in just fine he will bring old school knowledge to the team.  He is just warming the seat for Kesloski everything hendricks does has a reason behind it.  We will just have to see what happens.

  4. I don't think a roust about will run 185mph...

  5. I think Mark Marin is a great driver but I think he hasn't had the team or the best equipment for the win but being with Hendrick he'll have a good chance maybe even at a championship...we'll see!

(although maybe he should have gone with Gibbs for the best equipment now)

  6. It's great...he can pool in his knowledge to help Jeff, Jimmie, and Dale with their races.

And maybe he can win more races and get that elusive championship!

  7. I think that It's a way to keep that spot open until Brad Kawalski is ready to move up to a cup car.  Anyone else would want a multi year contract.

  8. This move to Hendricks is just so that he can may-be win a championship, like he hasn't had a zillion chances already. And for the record -Jr., JJ & JG don't need any pointers!  MM is a good guy & some might think this is a good move~~~Me-Not so much.

  9. I think its his last best chance to win a title. I would love to see that happen. I started watching Mark when he raced in Springfield MO at the Fair Grounds Speedway. He was just a kid then used to race against Rusty Wallace at that track.

  10. I like Mark and I like that he is joining HMS!! I hope that he is able to get a championship before he retires!!

  11. I think its a great move a really good chance for him to win the championship. Hes proved this season in the races hes raced that he can be competitive if he ran the whole season.

  12. Sound great... Could be plenty of winning their!

  13. as long as he doesn't call and ask me to help him move, it's cool by me.

    ;-)

  14. marks a good guy but needs to retire his days are long past

  15. i like it he had that amayzing run at Datona in 07 and heys a great driver

  16. I think this move for Mark is great!..Great Team, Owner, Equipment and Team-mates and possibly a winner year for him..I wish him well and success for 09 and hopefully in the Chase!

  17. I hope he wins the championship and then retires.

  18. I think it will be good for mark martin and I'm happy he's going to drive for hendricks

  19. I have mixed emotions about the whole deal, h**l had mixed emotions about it when he moved to Ginn/DEI. I am a tried and true Mark fan for many years, and the heart breaks have been numerous, but those shining moments are what really stand out in my mind.

First of all, I am Ford to the bone, you cut me and I promise I bleed Ford blue, so the move to the bowtie was hard news at first. But seeing Mark run so well at Daytona in HMS equipment (Ginn was leasing all of their stuff from HMS) made me perk up and take notice, imagine if he'd run the whole season... Plus I had NEVER seen Mark run like that in a plate car at Roush, ever.

Secondly, Rick Hendrick and Jack Roush are sworn enemies and I'm still Roush faithful, Carl and David are my boys now! But that effectively makes Rick Hendrick my sworn enemy.... So I'm totally pulled in both directions... I will still pull for Mark, in an HMS car, as he is my driver, and I will by diecast and hats, but d**n it I won't like it, I'm doing so in protest!

  20. Typical.

  21. I thought he retired like 80 years ago. I think it will be a fruitful partnership. I think he has the same personality as Jr and will be a great mentor to the whole company.

  22. he'll either do really good or he'll suck

but i think with him and JR being good freinds they will make for a good show

  23. awsome

  24. Mark Martin would excel in anything he drives.  He could race for BAM racing and make them a top-10 team.

  25. Its the worst idea ever...   I'd rather have seen Logano or Cassill, maybe even Ryan Newman or Ambrose...  Mark Martin just makes me fall asleep.

  26. I think he will do good and I am excited

  27. It sucks that he's in a Chevrolet. He said a few years back when he signed with Roush (probably the last time he signed) that he wanted to finish out his career with Roush Racing since they had benn so good to him. I respect a person changing their mind, but man he was one of Ford's stars, like Jeff Gordon was when he first came on the scene. Then they both sold their souls to Chevrolet. I like Mark as a person but lost a little respect for him after that move.

  28. I like Mark.  I hope that he does get one championship before he really does retire.  The thing is Hendrick never has put much into the #5 car.     I don't see that changing any.
