psychic ability? or what? I have herd so many stories of women having sudden feelings their child was in trouble and being right. The best one I herd- my best mates mother was asleep and woke with a fright. She knew her son needed her and ran to his bassinet. he had stopped breathing in his sleep and was blue. she did cpr and saved his life. most mothers at some point experience mothers intiution. Your thoughts? or stories!?

  1. Mother's intuition is almost always right. Maybe its because our children were connected to us by the umbilicus when they were in our wombs. Or because we were the ones who raised them so we can feel when they need us most, even if they are far from us. Its as if our minds are connected to their feelings and emotions. We can feel their anger, fear, their frustrations and longings. We can read their actions, their expressions, sometimes, even their thoughts.

We instinctively know when they are in trouble. When they are afraid or when they are guilty of something. Its mother's intuition and they can't get away from it.

  2. Mother's intuition is very real and once you learn to know what it feels like you realize how useful it is and that it is always right, especially when meeting new people.

  3. i believe in it......my story isnt bad so here goes before my husband and i told his mother that i was pregnant she sat up in the middle of the night and told her husband that i was pregnant and it wasnt 2 weeks later we told her then of course everyone always tells me i'm gonna have twins except for her (we have 2 other children girl 10 yrs boy 6yrs) well anyways she had never told me that until this pregnancy she just blurted it out and when i had my fourth sono done they found another baby so she was right and i'm 21 weeks preg with twin boys........she just seemed to know i think its neat

  4. i  know its true . with me i found out i was pregnant and i told my mother and my husband something not right somethings not right and i even told the doctor. they did sonograms and everything and said shes 100% normal and i knew in my heart there was something not right . and when she was born they all started whispering and she was born with cleft pallet . the whole in the roof of her mouth . and the doc said she was eating right and i told my mom that the bottle wasnt right and she was hungry i knew it and finally we were sent to UAB and i was right she was almost starving due to the hospital

  5. I absolutely believe!

There have been so many times in the past two and a half years that I have had a gut feeling about something and ignored it to only find that i was right in the future.

GO WITH THE GUT!  IT IS WISER!

  6. It's all a matter of chance. I'd say very few mothers have it, but many mothers have paranoia.

  7. I think the "psychic" feeling is more of a genetic bond, especially between Mothers and daughters.  My daughter is 26, and virtually hundreds of times, we pick the phone up at the same time to call each other and get busy signals.  Or I will call and she will laugh because she was just picking up the phone to call me.  She calls it my "spidey" sense.  Anyhow, thats just my feelings.

  8. I think it's very empowering to believe that there's some sort of magic or supernatural experience involved.

But, what I believe is true, though, is that everyone is noticing everything that's going on around them all of the time.  Tiny clues that we store away in our subconscious, constantly.  Our subconscious minds are always working, especially on the things & people that are important to us.

So, mom (or dad) subconsciously notices that her son has a slight wheeziness before bed.  Notices the cat meowing oddly from outside the child's room.  Notices the temperature in the house is a bit different than normal.  Notices the child's seemed a little sweatier than normal or changed a couple less diapers that day.  All of this subconsciously, of course.  Nothing obvious.

The subconscious mind puts it all together, though & nudges at the parent's conscious mind.  The parent recognizes this as intuition -and- in combination with a little bit of coincidence & reinforcement when the 'intuition' is right, a myth is born.

That's what I believe, anyway.  It doesn't make it any less amazing, what our subconscious minds can do.  It's just not supernatural or special only to women/mothers.

  9. a mothers intuition is real and amazing. it extends to animals as well. a mothers love is stronger than any thing imaginable. silly as it sounds, my mothers intuition carried over to something that happen to my cat. i work 2nd shift 3:30 to 11:30. about an hour before work, i had this nagging, somethings just not right type of feeling that i couldnt place my finger on. every ounce of me was saying dont go to work tonight. stay home. my son was grown and didnt live at home. just me and 2 cats. well this feeling was so strong i decided to listen to it and called off. about 2 hours later, my cat was chasing a fly around. it landed on the wall just next to a wire letter holder i had hanging up. somehow, when my cat went to swipe at the fly, she missed and somehow managed to get her paw caught in the wire letter holder. she lost her footing and was hanging by one paw and was stuck just dangling in mid air so to speak. i heard her cry out and went running. had i not been home that night, my cat couldve broke her arm dangling for so long or well i shudder to think what would have happen to her. so i always follow my intuition no matter what.
