What do you think about my idea on a support group? (very important to me)?

I am 18 years old and I have struggled with endometriosis for 5 years. I know the struggles that women and teens go through when they're struggling with this. I am thinking about starting a website or a group on myspace so we can all support each other and get advice. I just want to be able to help women get through this and not feel alone. Some people think its a waste of time for me to do this but I think it would help me get through this too. What do yall think? Should I do it or not?

There are already many websites like it.  I'm not sure a myspace page would work since it's hard to have a dialog that way.
