  1. A lot of parents call their children names of the months. March, April, May, June, July and August are quite common where I live, much to my disbelief. You can also alter the spellings which result in many pretty names. Mae, Avril (April in French) and Apryl are lovely. I would name someone after a season, though! I like Summer, Autumn and Winter (Winter, not so much) although I wouldn't like to be called Spring!

  2. They are certainly different! I wouldn't be naming my child any of those, although April and May are actual names...

  3. Not a fan of it, I think it's really tacky to have to name your child after a day of the week when there's so many other beautiful names out there to choose from! The child's stuck respresenting a day of the week instead of his/herself which is really unfortunate. Personally I think the name Sunday is really pretty, but I wouldn't wish it on anybody to name their child that! Girls are usually given these kind of names but some boys are named August. Great question and thank you for not putting this upon your child! (:

    For girls:

    Sunday

    Tuesday

    April

    May

    June

    August

  4. You mine as well name them one and two

  5. I think it's stupid and a bit unoriginal. "Wow, I can't think of name, so I guess I'll just name the kid Monday." They don't even sound nice, like a season name such as Winter or Summer or Autumn. [which you're better off choosing than a week day]

  6. i dont like those names. especially when they are like 70. but, i like april, may, and june or Autumn i personally like april or may

i also like sarah may or sara may

  7. I don't like day of the week names.

    I like May and April.

  8. Personally I don't like the idea of naming children after days of the week, but each to his own I guess.

  9. they are unique

  10. Theoretically, anything can be a name. In real life, it shouldn't happen that way though. I don't like day names on anybody, and the only months that are acceptable to me are April, May, and June on girls, though I only like April, and August on boys. Other than that, there should be no other month names.

  11. I think that naming your child after days of the week is pretty stupid, and, due to Nichole Kidman, it is now going to become incredibly popular. I wouldn't name a kid Wednesday or Tuesday - even though Tuesday is more passable - because the kid would not be able to live it down much. Personally I think only the name Sunday for a kid - while ridiculous - is the most passable name out of all of them.

As for names of the month you can have:

    January

    February

    March

April/Avril (Avril is April in French)

May/Mai (Mai is May in French and German)

    June

    July

    August (For a boy)

    September

    October

    November

    December

You can have all the months as names (according to babynames.com) so I hope this helps.

  12. I think it's totally up to you.. but I know how mean kids are and they will more than likely get teased.. but hey.. maybe if they were born on that day or something cute like that.. I wouldn't just name them a weekday name, just for the sake of doing it.

  13. Tuesday- theres a celeb who has a daughter called that but can't think who. wouldn't use it myself though.

Wednesday- just makes me think of the Addams family. so no

Sunday- used by nicole kidman. not a name i would choose

    April- is an ok name.

May- i like for a middle name only

June- not keen on the month or the name

August- makes me think of the romans so no

  14. I dont like the idea of naming babies after the days of the week

    Some months ar ok

    xx

  15. My friend's cat is called Tuesday, so  I've always thought it a bit weird calling a child that! Nicole Kidman named her child Sunday from one of its fathers songs, even though it was born on a Monday! May, June and Julie or Julia or Juliet are all relatively common moth names.

  16. That's not a bad idea, but I think you would be better off naming your kids after seasons or months.

  17. Only if your children become famous will the names Tuesday or Wednesday become appropriate :) Using the names of months is much nicer. April, May, June etc. All the nice ones. Or even seasons. Summer, Spring, Autumn, Winter. In my opinion, Spring and Winter are the worst. It all depends on a mother's opinion. But using the days of the week as baby names, in my opinion, is a bit unfair on the baby :)

  18. My daughters middle name is Autumn - Isabella Autumn Rose if she hates the name Autumn when she is bigger she can have Isabella Rose

  19. I think its terrible when children are named after days.

Naming them after months like April, May, June, August isnt too bad but Id never do it myself.

  20. No i dont like it, however lately at my girls' schools, i have met a fair few girls:

Tuesday May [Cause she was born on the last tuesday of may?!]

September Rose. [She wasnt even born in September!]

    & April Sunday.

There are also a fair few summers & many girls with the middle name Winter & Autumn,

  21. i like the name fryday or friday i no a couple of people who have called there child by this name

  22. Don't think I would use them...

    April

    May

    June

    August

    Sunday

    Tuesday

    Wednesday

    seasons too:

    Summer

    Winter

    Autumn

  23. I love days of the week for names. And yeah you could name a child, Winter, April and May. I think they all sound very nice :).

  24. I think it is a chav idea and unfair to the kids who will get teased and bullied at school.

  25. names does'nt matter to be honest because there are some people who are so beautiful but has an ugly sounded name and there are some people that has a very nice name like royalty names, majesty names , s**y names but they are not that attractive at all...  i like Spring, Fall and Summer names.. I like Hurricane too... How about Typhoon??? cute...

  26. My daughter is 10 and has a girl in her class called Wednesday. I think it is a great name she does suit it. But wouldn't recommend a day or month name unless you have a great aunt, nan or whoever you have to name them after. Seasons are much better. think about how the child was conceived or where. I even have a friend who named their son after the curry he was conceived after Rogan Joshua.

Buy a name book or do what I did and spend 8 months thinking up a name and when she came out the name never suited her so I had to start again!!!

  27. I perfer months better! :)

  28. I got two relatives who are Called

Monday and Wednesday and they hate their names

the kids are teased to no end so they have changed them to common  names they like and if anyone calls them theses names there is always a big fight...sorry..It sounds to much like the parent conceived them on that day and they just did not want to give them a real name

  29. err

    tbh

I don't like days or months.

    January

    June

    April

    May (it's okay- Mae)

    but i like seasons

    like

    Summer

    Autumn

    :)

    x

  30. i was going to be called may, but i dont think any other month would work for a childs name. i personally dont think any child would appricate being called december. although i think tuesday works as a nice name :)

  31. wednesday.. you cant use that one or your kid will be "the addams family girl". sunday is a pretty nice name.
