  1. People can call it "modern" all they want, but ultimately, it seems like most of the ideas and ideals held in this society are still geared to exactly what they were in the past.  Aside from simple things, there hasn't been much progress, and I don't believe there will be for a long time.

  2. what do I think about our modern society? ....eh, it could be way, WAY better... there are so many problems that it's hard to sum it all up. however, I do agree with you... I think society has become a little too preoccupied with self-image and status. The only way we could possibly fix that problem is to lead by example...

  3. Obsession with self image and beauty has been around for a long time but all the TV shows on cosmetic surgery, how to dress, the red carpet, etc. confirms this.

In fact just looking at the TV shows tells me they are obsessed with violence, tattoos, speaking to the dead, ghost and hauntings, s*x, and wild parties all of which I find abhorant.

  4. yes, now i can deal with the lastest technology with computers and even the cell phone, but a wii, whatever, I think also people are rushing around too much to acxcomplish what they want to accomplish, now in my day, there was no rush, whattt??? man, a guy met girl, guy married girl, guy goes to work, and the lady stasys home until the kids are grown, then, then woman gets a job, Then they retire, but  noooo, its all weird and backwards today

  5. Plenty of them and i agree with you both. Were focusing on the wrong ones. LOL. When will we ever learn?
