i think our schools are c**p. seriously. like whats the whole deal with due dates? is this a test against time or something? all its really testing is how fast your brain can solve a problem and if you cant do it fast enough or remember the right answers BEFORE THE END OF CLASS "sorry billy looks like you get an F" what does that do for a child's self-esteem? then we wonder why people go insane and have mental disorders. labeling children... "you got an F... your not as good as the rest of the children."

oh yea and then if you cant hack it, you get "SPECIAL ED".

this whole society has some screws loose. i dont want obama or mccain, i want someone who cares about what these children are going through.

  1. Sorry, deadlines matter.  You fail.

  2. I agree, I'm going to begin home schooling for these reasons:

    1. We spend wayyyy too much time at school for the little amount of work we get done. Two assignments a day? For stuff we could've figured out without the 40 minute lecture?

    2. The little amount of work we do isn't going to help us in the long run. Why do I care what "A" equals? If I was going to be a mathematician, I'd care. But I'm not. So I don't.

    3. You're right, they can fail you for stupid reasons.

    4. This is kind of the same as Reason 2. They aren't teaching us things we need to know. Can we PLEASE have a required etiquette class, thank you very much. How about how to open a bank accout. And how about a class dedicated to teaching students about other parts of the world(please don't say "World History"). The US isn't the only country, you know.

    5. School sucks balls. Seriously. No one wants to go, most of the teachers don't seem to like it either, we're not learning anything and it just sucks.

  3. whats wrong with due dates?  due dates teach time management, something that everyone needs to learn.  it makes sure that the student does not fall behind. it also allows the teacher to not get bombarded by papers on the very last day.  plus, students procrastinate.  they will wait till the last day to do everything and not be able to get it all done.  due dates do not only apply to school work.  adults also have due dates.  bills, reports to bosses, etc, so get used to it. it is a part of life. if the student is not able to complete their work, then it does mean that they are not understanding something and need extra practice.  but i do agree with one thing you said.  labeling students for failing can be very detrimental, but it is also necessary.  we can not allow students to fail and still move on.  things will just get harder

  4. well im sorry francs crick, those are youre only two choices just like school do you want "special ed"-mccain or a regular normal classroom-obama? who cares if you dont want either of them..dont vote! and theres testing and labeling for a reason. its called PROGRESS. if we didnt have these things how can we ever be successful. its not he F's that cause self-esteem problems..theres more to that then anyone could ever imagine. labeling is apart of life, and im sorry to inform you that its here to stay. if you dont like the labels, do something about it! how about you TRY running for president? due dates are key to success. your problem with "self-esteem and labeling" goes far beyond this topic youve posted. i get the sense youve failed or someone you know failed one too many times. dont hate the concept, hate the game. its that simple, CRICK.

  5. I could do better running them..
