  1. that they have denied themselves the character building life experience and agony that is addiction......

    but, seriously though lol.......

not really for me to say about what anyone choses for their own life....i've know people like myself, who are occasional and moderate users of the wonderful bounty mother nature has provided us in cannibis....who are the most productive, intelligent, articulate, educated career people with the salaries and lifestyles to match.....

then there are those who don't know the meaning of the word moderation who are worthless, ambitionless, aimless and clueless......

the chemicals are a completely different story and i feel that most of those people are using them to run and/or hide from other deeper problems they don't want to face. let's face it, nobody wakes up one morning and decides they want to be a junkie, but one day they wake up and realize they are.....and it never is because they 'wanted' to delve that deeply into the dark side...they let the dark side take them over and never saw it coming.

i think in alot of cases, people who never have tried drugs are either:

    1) lucky

    2)  sheltered and never really got out into world to be exposed to it

    3)  lucky

    4) have a good enough relationship with their families at a young age

to not be looking for 'acceptance' or emotional fulfillment elsewhere

        and/or through other means

    5) lucky

    6) raised to look down on those who do but would REALLY be surprised

to find how many of their friends do when they aren't around

    7) lucky

there is so much of it around and so many people that do, for someone to  never have been exposed to it or never had the opportunity to try anything at all would truly  make them lucky in today's world. even those of you who read this would be amazed the number of your friends, and/or otherwise unassuming professional, respectable, successful career people like myself who do from time to time......just to what extent and what level of 'hardness' of drug they do from time to time....while some may even be full-blown addicts.

and then there are those who are just lucky to have avoided it. and those who may look down your nose at this answer.....don't be the first to judge because it could have been, or could even be in the future, you. you just never know who you may cross paths with or what may happen in your life to make you try it.

and for the record i will state i am well educated, with a master's with honors, solid stable career of over 2 decades in senior management, and very secure, stable and well-adjusted....and do, in some degree of moderation, smoke pot on a somewhat regular basis.

    not the 'typical' pothead, hey?

the difference between those who do and can maintain and those who do and can't function is moderation. so many wouldn't know the meaning of the word if it were tattooed on their eyeballs.

but alot more of us out there do than you think.

but i don't hold it against anyone who doesn't or won't try something at some point in their lives.....it works for them.....and they can consider themselves lucky to never have been exposed to it, because for many it does lead to heavier and harder things.

but, it's a personal choice and who are any of us to say anything about their decision not to try it? or my decision to try it

  2. It is never wise to try drugs as sometimes one thing leads to another.

  3. i think that it is that persons choice to not do drugs at all as is it other peoples choice to do drugs
