What do you think about phyciatrist

I think most psychiatrists are knowledgeable and helpful when they work with  people who have difficulty with moods, thoughts, and behaviors or fears.   They understand good behaviors and some reasons for strange behaviors, and are able to sort out what is causing the person's problems, and how to best treat it.   Psychiatrists understand both mind/body and how medications can modify moods and thoughts that interfere with a person's being able to live a normal life.

they make me feel a lot better and i want to get better :)

but some of them can be strange  i'm lucky mine bulk bills lol..

I think all psychiatrists have a s***w loose and are crazier than the people that they supposedly treat.

edit: it appears there are 'shrinks' on this board giving me thumbs down.

Laugh, have fun, enjoy life... Without a sense of humor you have a very dull road to hoe.

On a serious note there are a small number of any profession who are a joke and should not be practicing In order to have a good base to treat their patients having been through the same problems can be an invaluable tool for treatment.

Trust your instinct, if the one you are seeing is only into medication and putting you at risk you need to get a new one if you indeed need the help.
