What do you think about scientology (Dianetics)?

I want to hear peoples opinions about scientology. I personally love the whole idea of it but I want to know what others think about it. Especially success stories and experiences with dianetics. Thankyou Everyone!

I think you should check out xenu.net and read up on all the abuses Scientology endorses, such as advocating the harm to any person who is against the 'church.'

L. Ron Hubbard himself was a compulsive liar and a drug addict.

I have spoken with someone whose wife was raped multiple times by someone higher up in the church and the leaders at the time protected the rapist and threatened the woman, telling her that they would ham her family if she went to the police.

Please do not become involved in this organization.

Love the book Dianetics, Read it six times. Did some simple training a couple of years ago and became a Dianetic counsellor. I use it to help others with unwanted physical and emotional conditions with success .

As for what I think of Scientology, well obviously I thinks it's amazing, otherwise I would not be a Scientologist

( for the past 37 years !)I searched for answers first and found them in Scientology. The bottom line with any truth when applied to life is "Does it work?"    .

I guess you've discovered by now that Religion & Spirituality attracts those who wish to destroy any betterment group. They are those that are pretty well named as anti-social personalities. These are the ones who put down any religion and make up stories to make them look bad. It is not just Scientology that gets attacked here in this forum.

Just keep having truth and for data about Scientology you want Scientologists and Scientology sites. That's the only place you'll get what it is we really do.

You'll fit right in - you can't stand opposing views.  I checked it out.  I wasn't rich enough for them and they didn't like hard questions about their childish views on psychology, homosexuality and cult-like behavior.

Why did your savior (the sci-fi hack writer) die with more drugs in his system than most people O'D on?  Couldn't practice what he preached?  A paranoid, would be cult leader isn't someone to look up to.

How Scientology evolved?

Scientology evolved from Dianetics when it was discovered that man is a spiritual being. Scientology differs from Dianetics in that Dianetics deals with the mind and the rehabilitation of mental image pictures and Scientology deals with the rehabilitation of the human spirit itself.

Cult status?

All great religions have been misunderstood, persecuted and attacked. Jesus was sentenced to death by a lynching crowd; his only crime:  to teach Love and forgiveness. Christians were KILLED for centuries for their beliefs and they were accused of performing cannibalistic rituals (didn’t they ate and drink the body of Jesus?).

Scientology is a worldwide religion that claims 10 millions of members. It has centers in almost every mayor capital in the world: Washington, London, Berlin, Johannesburg, Tokyo, Sydney, Tel Aviv Israel and Moscow to name a few. And for a church that is barely 40 years old this is great. Scientology is not a small sect based in a small town in Texas isolated from the rest of the world. Scientology thrives in the center of mayor cities, its member are community leaders, doctors, teachers and workers from all sectors of society. The fact most Scientologists have a college education says a lot.

I second Hotmamma. But with that said, they have a lot of beliefs that I don't agree with. Some people need medication. You should be able to yell when you have your children because it hurts, and the list goes on!
