I don't think it is fair for them to stand fighters up in UFC? What would make it fair is if a fighter is running away from another fighter. Starns vs Quarry for example, They would start them out on the ground with the aggressor in the others guard. What do you think?

  1. I would like to see them give a caution right then and there to a fighter that is not working to gain an advantage or work towards a submission and once that caution is given then a warning and if still no action then take a half point.  This way a fighter could still use this as part of his strategy but not just stall on the ground and nullify another fighters attempts to gain an advantage very long and force the referee to stand them up again.

Surviving on the ground is not near as hard if you are only trying to do that and wanting to get the referee to stand you and your opponent back up.  If not taking a point then maybe something like PRIDE did where they would deduct ten percent of their purse and signify it right there by holding up a yellow card and pointing at the individual.  That sometimes got the action going or motivated a fighter to not overly rely on that as a strategy.

  2. if they arent doing anything at all on the ground hardly then i believe they should stand them up but i like a good ground battle when they are actually making attempts to finish the other one

  3. Your suggestion is ridiculous. The way it stands is good. No action, stand them up.
