Its a thing I'm confused about. If teenagers can get free B.C they're probably gonna want to have s*x because they have B.C but then its helping them to understand safe s*x

  1. i think its ok to give out B.C.

its a way for them to be careful and to know the consiquences of having s*x. an i believe that it makes them more responsible about having s*x...

  2. It's that or girls getting pregnant at 15 or 16 or younger!

  3. I RATHER THEM USE IT THAN GO AROUND UN PROTECTED.

  4. all these little girls are getting pregante...

yes i do think it should be for free

it might encourage some but i doubt it will encourage them more then anything else

  5. Are u pregnant or planning to be a mom…?

worried about parenting or pregnancy issues

  6. I think they should be getting free advice on how to say NO.  Birth control doesn't always work, it doesn't prevent STDs and the emotional effects that it has on them is devastating.  Hormonal b/c is bad for these girls because they are still developing and later in years there are problems trying to get pregnant.

  7. I think it is great! No b/c is not going to keep teens from having s*x, trust me! I was a pregnant teen once....and wouldn't have been if free no parent required birth control was available!

  8. thank god..

  9. Well it is both bad and good. I think it will make more young girls and boys want to have s*x because they know there will be no pregnancy risk if birth control is used, and its free so no problem whatsoever. I also think it is good because those kids out there already having s*x can get free birth control and not have the risk of getting pregnant.

  10. I think it gives too many temptations to young girls, but I think if it's preventing stupid girls from getting pregnant, it can't be too bad.

  11. As a parent I intend to educate my child on matters of sexual health, and I hope to create a relationship where the child can come to me for that sort of thing.  However, given the large number of teens who lack proper adult guidance, I can see the necessity for such a program.

  12. I feel that birth control that is free may look bad, but do we want all these young girls getting pregnant? If I had a daughter, I cant keep her locked in the house, afraid of her having s*x but if she was taking steps to protect herself and her boyfriend against pregnancy, I would feel better than her coming up to me telling me that she is pregnant.

  13. i think its good in ways and bad in ways.  i mean if they going to have s*x they are whether they r on bc or not.  so its better they are on bc so they dont get stupid and  get pregnant

however i think its making them grow up too fast teenagers are really ready for responsibilty in most cases so they dont need doing to be having s*x anyway. them getting bc is just saying feel free its ok to have s*x at young ages.

  14. Welll...its good and bad i suppose. I mean On the one hand, if they know that they can have s*x without consequences, because they know they can get birth contol, they are more likely to do it, right?

But then On the otherhand, its like...when they DO have it, then they have the birth control. So im not sure. there is good and bad.

  15. I think it's alot more effective than abstinence only programs, and saves me millions of dollars a year in tax money since I don't have to support as many teenage welfare moms.

  16. Kids are gonna have s*x anyway. They only difference is that if they need to pay for BC or get parental consent to get it they aren't gonna bother using it and if you think pregnancy rates are high now, just imagine what they will be if that happens.

  17. Better they get birth control than end up pregnant and aborting it.

  18. I think it would not be a bad idea... but they also need to understand that they still need to wear a condom.... not just to add protection but also to prevent STD's.... I know by questions that get asked on here that these girls think the only thing they need to do to prevent from getting pregnant is to pop a pill everyday... but they do not understand that there is not one thing out there that actually prevents pregnancy 100%.... and i also think that more importantly they need to have better communication with their parents.

  19. I think its a good idea, it is not giving them more temptation, the temptation is already there. Also, if they want to have s*x, then they are going to, end of story. Giving out free BC is a lot cheaper then having to support a bunch of teen moms on assistance, (which there should be more of, but that is another story) and a lot less stressful for everyone involved

  20. i think it is good in way because it not only helps to prevent unplanned pregnancys, but also for girls that have really heavy periods it helps regulate and make them lighter. it does give a lot of temptation, but now a days who actually still follows the abstinence path. girls are getting pregnant younger and younger and its better to be on birth control. not onl does the birth control give temtation but so doesnt peer pressure so its good in a way.

  21. It's making them go out and have s*x

  22. On one side it would probably be good for the teens to not ending up overwhelming themselves with the responsibilities of a child. However, teens should be aware of what they're doing and the consequences of their actions.

  23. What makes anyone believe that teens are going to make every effort to abstain when WE KNOW that they do not.  Teens girls do not have enough self control to practice abstinence all the time, or even a little at a time. Boys do not even pretend to want to practice abstinence.  We can encourage but we cannot enforce abstinence,  Oh we could..but that would mean locking the little darlings away from each other from the age of about 9 on.  Oh, they do that?  In Saudi Arabia and other Muslims countries that are governed by Sharia law..and girls still get pregnant?  The girls  get executed though after the baby is born, so it all works out.  Maybe that is the answer.  Making it a criminal offense to become pregnant before you are 16 and married. Doing time and your parents pay the fine.

OK, since we have established that NO MATTER  what we adults say or do teens are going to have s*x, and not practice abstinence for very long, then maybe providing them with dependable birth control for free or at little cost seems a viable  an option. Provide them with accurate information also.  Make ;em take a test, leave with pills and condoms.

They may not use them.  A lot more than we think will simply put them away.  Some of those will practice abstinence at least for a while.   Some girls  will get pregnant anyway becuse "ah, we forgot" ...which seems to be the major reason for pregnancy.  Even with access to birth control they will not use it responsibly.

    Some will use  them responsibly.
