I just listened to the whole thing on the way to work, and I think it's really f'n good !

For those that don't know, its a side project of 2 guys from System Of A Down.

Mesmerize from SOAD was my fav album.

Alot of the songs on this SOB album kinda sound the same, but i'm really diggin' it !

  1. yeah man, it's pretty freekin' good.  The only thing that kinda makes me mad is that Darron thinks that he is GOD on the guitar.. and uhh... he plays like 9 note arpeggios for solos.  But he is still good, and so is the album!

  2. I LOVE IT! I got it on the day it came out and it is awesome. My favorite songs are Kill Each Other/Live Forever and Babylon. :]

  3. I LOVE IT!!! :]

A lot of the songs do sound the same, especially Stoner- Hate and Exploding/Reloading.  Having them one after the other on the album almost makes it sound like one continuous song.  I love that.  World Long Gone and Kill Each Other/Live Forever kinda sound the same, too and were placed on the album simultaneously.  But that makes the album flow and makes it easier to listen to (for me anyway).

Although, it does have it's schizophrenic moments...I mean in the way they can have a track like Enemy (a song you can dance to), They Say (a bit heavier sound) and 3005     (a sound I'd never expect to hear from Daron that turned out great!) all on the same album.  It takes you all these different places, yet you're not sitting stuck at the end of the album trying to figure out what in the h**l their sound is.

As far as sounding like SOAD, I don't think they sound anything like them.  Maybe because of Daron's voice and Mezmerize being your favorite album (which he sang on a lot more than the first 3) I can see where you got the similarities.  Other than that, I think Scars has their own sound.  Although...Babylon could have easily been on a System album.  But I could never imagine Serj singing on Chemicals or Exploding/Reloading.  Haha.

  4. The album is amazingly good becuase you can still hear system in the songs but in a completely new diection. Daron has proved that he can changed musica stye very efficiently and the album is a great sucess in my eyes. I will be buying future albums for sure.
