  1. this is great for the dodgers, they added the bat they desperately needed and if there's one manager in baseball that can get the most out of manny's talent it's joe torre, he has worked with more superstars and big egos than anyone in baseball...they immediately become the favorites in the nl west

  2. i think it's great, if he's not happy then good-bye manny. we got whay we wanted from him the championship.

  3. Im a sox fan and well at least we get Jason Bay in return, i am happy for the Man Ram, i will be a tid bit a a Dodger fan now, Go Dodgers win the NL West...lol

    Go Sox and Dodgers lol

EDIT: Guy below me, well since Manny has been with the Sox for more then 5 years, he could say if he like the deal or not, thats why he didnt go to the Marlins.

  4. i think it sucked, i cried when he left ='[

  5. I think it was a great trade! They did give up nothing for one of the best in baseball. I just want to see how Manny reacts to the trade "on the field".

  6. dumb move now they stand no chance against the halos in the post season.....if they get their

  7. As a life long Sox fan, I was somewhat torn on the Manny incidents that have occurred. However, I love this trade. I've honestly grown tired of Manny and all of his antics, and I love that the Red Sox are replacing him with someone who's just as good (if not a little worse) and MUCH quieter. Not to mention, they also only lost a fading pitching prospect (Craig Hansen) and a backup outfielder (Brandon Moss) I do agree though, that the Dodgers definitely got the best of this trade, but they're gonna need every bit of Manny to go anywhere in the postseason.

Best of luck to your team.

  8. well, everyone will say im glad hes gone, yeh he was lazy but hey when we needed a hit from him we got it, he wasnt as clutch as ortiz but hes a legend in redsox nation, i hated the fact he didnt run out groundballs because he was tired of the sox, no matter what your angry with u still need to hustle, im glad we got jason bay hes young and hes got descent speed, not lazy like manny, plus we werent gunna get much more out of manny power, hes decreased his stats since 04',

  9. Well his team didn't want him nor did he like where he was anymore. So it was a win-win situation.

  10. I think its a good deal because we dont have to pay him and ummmmmm the Red Sox still have to pay his salery which is 30,000,000$ even though hes not on their team.

  11. HOW CAN HE SING WITH THEM WHEN HE HAD MY HOPES UP TO GO TO THE MARLINS!!!!!! he has better chance of winning a title with the marlins than dodgers

  12. I am a Dodgers fan so go dodgers!!!! But Manny is kind of unfocused... I saw him play his last game at Fenway and he had his glove off and he was biting his nails. Then he was just standing there with his glove off. ((good thing the ball didn't come to him)) Then he disappears behind the wall during pitching changes... Manny being Manny. Now the dodgers will have to deal with that. I mean he is 36... how many years does he have left. And don't the Dodgers already have like a million outfielders already... Oh well. GO DODGERS!!
