What do you think about the Mojave Experiment?

Windows launched the Mojave Experiment to revive Vista's image. It seems like everyone was giving it bad reviews. I tried it as well, but what I experienced was so different from what I saw in the Mojave Experiment. My computer was slow and I experienced a lot of incompatibilities as well, now I'm back to using XP.

The Mojave Experiment shows a bunch of videos of people who were given a demo of a new OS called Mojave and then they got them to review it. They all seemed impressed. After that, they told them that it was actually Vista. I should just show you: http://www.mojaveexperiment.com/

Tell me what you think (before I regret converting to Vista again)

  1. Vista on a brand new computer is ok in my opinion but don't upgrade a computer with xp to vista.

  2. Pheonix sounds like a Microsoft employee................The people saw what Vista can do............what about the stuff it cant do? Some software cant run on Vista but run on XP. Im sticking with XP for now until SP2 of Vista comes out just to be sure.

  3. If you tape enough people, you're bound to get a few that say what you want to hear.  Vista is having troubles for a reason: it has very few advantages and a few big problems including slowing down computers and incompatibilities.  Mojave is just a last-ditch effort bu Microsoft to save their investment in a lousy product.

  4. Load of bs that plays on the psychological effects of telling them it's a brand new operating system. Nothing but propaganda for a bloated antiquated dinosaur.

I used to use Vista but then I switched to Leopard on a mac and I'm never going back.

  5. It shows that the general perception of Vista is not totally accurate.  People just love to hate Microsoft.  Apple on the other hand can do no wrong.  It's funny how debacles like MobileMe and labeling a Safari install as a security patch go almost unnoticed.  I read something that said that Apple is in the same place Microsoft was 10 years ago and I think it's really true.  Wish I has the link but they compare the public's view of the companies along with their lack of action on security.  It's really true.

  6. well, as long as you have a decent pc (dual core, 2 gigs of ram, discrete graphics card, even the cheap ones) vistas is much better than xp. it manages memory more efficiently with superfetch (in xp, the more programs you have open, the slower it gets, even if you have lots of ram and a fast cpu.) and i have not gotten a single virus on vista so far. with xp, i got 3 in the first month. also, I have never had vist crash or freeze on me like xp did. lastly, xp felt like windows 2000 with a ne visual style and some other features. vista on the other hand, actually feels like a new os, with all of the great user interface changes. for your incompatibilities, did you install the latest driver (or for software)the latest product update? many companies released vista updates for their sowtware. you can always try the compatibility mode (when u right click on the shortcut > properties> compatibility> run this program in compatibility mode).. vista might have suced when it was released but with sp1 and all the updates, it runs beautifly now.

  7. Hi, I use Vista a lot and have never had any system crash, lock up freeze or slow down at all.

Sure u need a powerful computer for Vista but there r many things Vista has that r better than Xp.

better security with user account control and this does work, no vista user I know has ever got a virus, trojan or spyware unless they gave it permission to run

its got preemptive multi tasking something xp is horrible at thats the reason when an app freezes in xp the entire system freezes

vista uses the windows server kernel making it more stable and powerful

its got protective memory and even though it requires more resources to run it actually manages your memory better than linux in some cases

vista has a composited desktop that is with 3d effects and it has a lot better interface, I mean Xp is UGLY

    its more modular than xp.

what in compatibility issues did u face? maybe we can help u with those?
