This is a falsehood perpetrated by the conservatives (and I am one, but this is nonsense), in response to the fallout from NAFTA.

Apparently the 1st answerer has his head buried in the sand. What is going on right now is a test for the highway. If we don't find a way to stop it, it will become reality. It sucks as much as NAFTA does.

I'm sure some are trying to get funding for it. The thought is stupid. There is a push to get North America to go the way of the European Union.
