What do you think about the ONKYO HT-SP904 Home Theater System?

I have a sony system now, its not cutting it. I have no experience with onkyo but I here they are good

I heard they were good too...until my Onkyo blew up and it took out 2 boards and cost more than the purchase price....

That's when I switched to Denon...I have yet to hear anyone's DENON costing more to fix than what they paid....

onkyo receivers are great with sound

with this hometheater system however, the receiver is just a 500series, which is not able to support audio on hdmi.

if you are willing to add up 200bucks more then why not get the htsp908.

regarding negative feedbacks on the brand, people will always have something negative to say. don't worry you'll have warranty and tech support. and of course the brand won't get a high ratings if their avr's are all messed up.

i dont like that you have to turn the volume k**b half way before u get any sound out of the units!
