Pudge is well loved here in Detroit, and we're going to miss him. (I have a lot more to say, but I want to hear what you think.)

  1. I have to ask what the h**l was Dave Dombrowski thinking? I have been a fan of the tigers since the 97' season and saw Farnsworth pitch for the tigers the first time and he did pretty good, but he is not doing so good now. With a 3.65 ERA I don't think that a straight trade, one player for another, Kyle is worth pudge. I knew at the beginning of the season that this would be pudges last season with the tigers but to trade for such a terrible player compared to pudge, total c**p. The fourteen time all-star, thirteen time gold glove, .300 average hitter, and third most games played behind the plate, will be missed by many in Detroit. It just seems to me that if pudge had to go Dave could have traded for a better pitcher or for some kind of prospect at least with kyle.

  2. I'm glad  the Tigers got  rid of him,,

sad but true ,,He NEVER WANTED TO BE HERE!!!

we only came to Detroit because of the money,,and His EX-WIFE wanted to come here,,,

he also had cause trouble in the clubhouse over a dozen times between Trammell's and Leyland tenure as mangers( mood swings problems)

He Wanted out last year but there were no takers,,

That is why they Signed INGE to the BIG contact,,

I'm glad the Tigers Got Fransworth back ,, he is one of my favorites ,,, When he played here ( he does not want to be in Detroit either) He played with his heart,,and Does not take c**p form no one,,

  3. You really have to wonder what they were thinking.  They traded a future Hall of Fame catcher (granted, he's on the downside of his career) for a struggling pitcher.  Not only that, they helped the Yankees of all teams.  That galls me to no end.

  4. They traded him because they needed good bullpen help and I think the guy they got will do them some good. Also his contract is up after this year. They figured out if they wanted playoff chances they need a reliever. Also Pudge wanted out because he wasnt playing enough.

  5. It's sad.  It may be a good baseball trade though
